the product contains:

Hyaluronic Acid
Vitamin E
Niacin B3
Retinol A
Vitamin B12
Caffeine
Q10
Pentapeptide

It is a great product especially used together with Vitamin C serum.
It is super good for sensitive skin. I used it during winter time, and under cold environment.

I also received a sample of this product with my last order and did not choose to re-purchase it because its not as hydrating as the Ice Blue Gel! Also, the Velvet Gel is extremely EXPENSIVE for what it is!

Do you need to use vitamin C serum as well if you already have Niacin in that gel ? Don't they both serve the same purpose ?

C is shown to encourage collagen production, so I stick with it. Smile

Niacin's a b vit, so I'd add the C. Or is that overkill?

I know and they both have their benefits so if using the Niaciamide I would still use a C product! Smile

1. If you are using l-ascorbic acid the pH requirement is 3.2 or less. Niacinamide's is 4-6, so it cant be used in the same entity or the nia would hydrolyze. Just in case you wanted to put them in there together.

2. You could easily make the Phyto-C Velvet using the maximum rec %s of each active, but *meh* on the pentapeptides. I was never impressed with Matrixyl. At all:
