Today I looked in the mirror and I saw 3 small white patches on my face. They're about the size of small eraser heads. 2 are on my upper cheek under my tear trough. The other one is next to my nose on the same side as the others. they really stand out because I'm fair and have freckles. They're not raised or itchy. It's almost like I bleached 3 patches of skin that cut into my freckles. But I didn't. I've even tried to cover them with concealer and you can still see them. What are these things? How did they get there? And how do I get rid of them? I don't even go out into the sun! |

If its not hypopigmentation ,then it sounds like calcification...
Do you get itch in the face after eating (certain) foods? |

No, I don't get itchy at all. It's not rough skin in that area. It feels smooth like normal skin. How does one get hypopigmentation? And how can I get rid of it? |

To add, I was reading about hypopigmentation an neither my skin nor I have had any recent disease, injury, burns or other trauma to the skin. So, is this really what it is? |

Vitiligo, maybe? I have a few white patches on my neck. It's an autoimmune reaction. It's annoying. When I get sun (which I don't often,) the patches stay white and the rest tans. |

You really need a medical diagnosis. Make an appointment with your derm.
In the meantime, be sure to apply your sunscreen daily. |

Gee, this makes me wonder if I have it also. I am very religious wearing sun protection and I have tiny patches. |

I get vitiligo spots on my arms so wear sunscreen so they aren't as noticeable. I have a couple of autoimmune diseases. Those spots are often a symptom of hypothyroid disease, I believe. |

They're a symptom of thyroid disease? Vitiligo is? MThats so strange bc I'm already taking Synthroid. I ve been taking it for years. Why would these small white patches suddenly appear now if it were hypothyroidism...They weren't there last week! Im so confused! |
