This all started about one month ago with a few hyper pigmentation marks. I monitored it closely and when the pigmentation goes away a shallow scar/ indent is left. This hs started to accelerate at a faster pace and I can't figure out what is going on. I'm in dire need of any expertise on this issue.

As of right now I only wash my face with Olay sensitive skin facial cleanser and apply emu oil or Argan oil at night. I was using Epiduo which is a benzoyl peroxide and adapalene, up until last week. I was taking high doses of evening primrose oil for my asthma and eczema. I was also taking bio Sil for skin and hair health. I just stopped taking those a few days ago. I was also using Ester C powder and oregano oil for immune support. Those were also stopped a few days ago.

Please anyone that had any info on this please post. They end up as thin indented scars on my face and its becoming very troubling.

Thank you.

Sorry, I'm not much help as I've not experienced this. Have you consulted a dermatologist? Perhaps the Epiduo is causing an unexpected reaction.

I have read that benzoyl peroxide can cause problems for some people. They say it causes damage under the surface of the skin which later shows up. I have read this on the skin biology forum, I have not had this experience personally and haven't used that product nor would I after reading their stories. I have also read and experienced damage from retin a and mild chemical peels/mild exfoliating. Stay away from all acids at this time. I will NEVER use any again.

I have read on realself under "healed skin" large pores, orange peal texture(if you search those key words you should be able to find the tread)she is having good results with her approach on her skin. Cleanses with manuka honey(raw) and uses emu oil to hydro and heal.
Sorry for what you are going thru, I hope you find some good information.
Please keep us updated.

Stop epiduo and BP, never use them again will damage skin. Eat more chicken, drink OJ, take vit c(100 mg) and zinc (25mg) only for supplements. Use cream with niacinamide day and night- olay age defying anti wrinkle is great, stops acne. If you wear makeup, put nivea creme on top of olay and then wait and put your makeup on. Wait 15 mins between applications of creams also. Yogurt facials frequently to resurface the skin a bit and provide nutrients, lactobacillus etc. Lactic acid peels at low dose of 20-30%, do not do it yourself but go to spa once/twice a month for this. Do not use any other BHA/AHA except lactic and do not use the lactic lotions, am lactin lotions, pointless. You can try if you like. Keep the emu oil incorporate when you can, but it could be the emu oil, watch for scarring in skin after use of emu, you may not be able to use this.

You're not alone. I've suffered from random unexplained pockmarks and thin lines forming on my face since March 2013. I used Epiduo only for a month or two in September 2012 - October 2012 and then stopped due to paranoia about BP that I read online (I think Essential Day Spa was one of the places). I have a thread here: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=49123.

Also, there is a girl with a PMD device review on YouTube who apparently suffered random scarring from use of Epiduo as well and used the device to smooth out her scarring. I cannot find the damn video for some reason right now, but in her comments a few people commented about having similar experience with having used Epiduo a well.

The strange thing for me is, the random scarring was terrible for the most part of 2013, then in 2014 till now, it has decreased a lot in occurrence, but I still occasionally find random indents on my facial skin. It baffles me because if Epiduo is the culprit, it's been over 2 years now since it has ever touched my face. I've run the whole mill of various dermatologists and internal doctors, racking up tons of bills for a variety of blood tests and office visits. No one is able to detect any autoimmune reaction, infection, or anything. It's an extremely depressing and hopeless feeling....but know that you are not alone.

Update us in this thread. God Bless and have a happy new year!
