Hi all,
I need an affordable body lotion that contains antioxidants and has no irritating ingredients.
Currently, I use Paula's Choice body butter and I really like it, but at the rate I go through body lotion (entire body after every shower), I run out so much and it's $20 for only 4 ounces.
I just need something that comes in a large amount like a big container with a pump for a more affordable price. That way I can use it and alternate with the PC lotion every other day to fit that in my budget.
I'd appreciate any good recommendations. Thanks!
P.S. I have normal/dry/sensitive skin. Somewhere around there, so a thick creamy texture is good. |

Have you considered oils? I would recommend jojoba oil, it is quite moisturising, full of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamin E...
It has slightly nutty scent, and you can easily add some essential oils to give it some other scent if you like.
I started using it on my face, and when I ran out of my body butter, started using it for my body too. It sinks in even quicker than the cream. You don't need to apply much.
I've heard a lot of people recommend Cerave Body Cream, I didn't try it though so can't comment on that.

I would actually really enjoy a nutty smell, my current lotion has a smell like that.
Thanks for the jojoba oil recommendation! I will certainly look into it and it makes me wonder if I can find a cream with jojoba oil in it.
I will also look up the Cerave cream. Thanks, maggie! |

I made my own. I use Monsia Skincare for my face and I knew that shea butter and jojoba esters (oil) worked well on my face. I combined shea butter with jojoba oil & vit E oil. I bought off Amazon so very reasonable, if you want recipe PM me. |

Well that's one way to ensure your lotion has antioxidants. I would definitely like to see the recipe. I sent you a PM. Thanks! |
