Well well... Advance premenopausal stage.
I'm seeing my doctor June 9th. I'm pretty sure I will go for hormones therapy as my symptoms are really crazy:( I have tried the natural options.
In anyway, I was wondering if any of you have hormone therapy and if you have seen any changes in you skin after starting it ? |

I've been on bio-identicals (estrogen testosterone and progesterone) for 7-8 months. Unfortunately, I've noticed no changes in my skin from it. It did help with hot flashes. And for a while it helped with getting better sleep. |

I do a low dose of estradial, an estrogen cream I have the rx for which is estrace and premarin (which I hardly ever use although I should but my ins. does not cover them) and osphena. I am also trying the Life-Flo Estriol-care on my face at night. No difference in the skin with any of them. |

A cheap alternative is to take 25mg DHEA everyday and see if your skin gets a bit oilier. If it doesn't, bump up to 50mg. I take 50mg and my skin is thicker and oilier but not a teenage oil slick! DHEA is a natural hormone that men and women lose after 40. It helps create all the other hormones in the body. Check Life Extension's website. Lots of articles. |

HRT helped me all around. No more hot flashes, better sleep and more energy. A side benefit was my skin looked plumper and more moist so for me it has been an anti-ager. |
