I was using the SuperCopX2 on my horribly mangled skin. I'm 27 and have battled acne and oily skin since age 12. So I have huge pores on every inch of my face, acne scars, clogged comedons, and lately, dehydration, fine lines and chicken skin-like twdture under my eyes.

I've tried everything under the sun and nothing has ever given me decent skin. Industrial strength peels (TCA 15%, BHA 25%), daily gentle BHAs, all the different AHAs, retinol, Retinol A, clairsonic, vitamin C, almost any skincare and makeup brand ever made. All a complete waste.

Maybe I should've come to terms with having ugly skin all my life instead of believing all the success stories on anonymous internet forums, but I guess I wanted hope in a bottle.

Anyway, the sad part is that CPs actually seemed to work! They refined my scars and pores a little, and even such a strong product didn't cause any irritation --just improvement, that was frankly surprisingly rapid. My makeup went on a lot smoother within a week, and the deep indented scars were less visible.

I'm probably an idiot or just absent minded but somehow I ended up putting some under my eyes (note I had emu oil on already) and the next day the whole area seemed to deflate. Now there are even more wrinkles and the ones I had seem deeper.

I'm so depressed. (Happy Christmas to me 😢...) It's totally my fault because I've read about the possibility of CPs causing the uglies I just figured since my skin reacted so well and so fast that this won't happen. (<=Overwhelming stupidity.) Now I'm afraid of risking more/ permanent damage by using CPs under my eyes while trying to rectify what I'd done.

I still want to fix the fine lines under my eyes. I don't think I should even have them since the women in my family get their first wrinkles around their 50s and I've worn SPF since my 20s and live in Canada.

I know this is probably stupid, but I keep telling myself that I don't deserve this. I've never had nice skin in my entire life and I've spent so much time and energy taking care of it. Researched and read about it, ate a clean diet, wore sunscreen and hid from sun exposure while my perfect skinned friends guzzled soda and junkfood. I always thought it would pay off but I was clearly wasting my time and money... 😭 It just makes me want to cry (and I do, trust me). Now in addition to scars I have premature wrinkles to worry about. I assumed it was due to dehydration but nothing seems to work long term.

Anyway, I'm probably just venting buy any advice from people who have taken their skin from worst to great would be appreciated... (I'm gonna go read the long CP thread and try to survive until New Year's...) 😞

You are using vopper peptides that are much too strong. This is a spot treatment. I have never has the ugliest with copper peptides. Try the vip luxury copper peptide cream.

I had super oily skin until I started taking birth control pills. I use the generic Yaz.

Another thing that helps me is a multivitamin preconception supplement.

MidnightSunBaby is right. If you're going to use Copper peptides you need to be careful and if they work for the rest of your skin there's no need to give up on them completely. You just might need to use a milder form (use the stronger for spot treatment...at least until you adjust) because if you're using a very strong solution all over it still can migrate.

Have you tried dermarolling (if you have no active outbreaks) and/or light therapy?. Both require patience but I do believe could help you. There's lots of info around here about them.

The lines under your eyes will not be permanent.
I'm twice your age with a relatively line free under eye area... but i want to thicken it so occasionally I overdo it with either being too aggressive, in general, and getting a haggard appearance...or using the wrong topical that doesn't suit that area.
Sometimes I will go a few days doing basically nothing...no actives...until it corrects itself. Or I baby the area but not aggressively.
I usually bounce back within a few days to a week. And being twice your age I have worried about less resilience. But it does always bounce back.
Stay hydrated and give it time.

Thanks guys for easying my worries a little.

MSB, do you use the luxury cream under the eyes? Isn't it super strong? Even more so than the SC2?

TigerLily,
(Is your name a reference to the Lace character? Wink
Has there been any scientific explanation to explain the uglies? Why does this happen with coppers so consistently?
I've searched all over the internet and Skin Biology acknowledges this but has yet to explain the process behind it.

What kind of products do you use on the eye area to 'baby' it?

Thanks so much <3

Augh...

I'm just bumping this because I haven't found anything on EDS or outside EDS about how to deal with CP "damage".

I rested my skin as suggested but it's been 2 months and the skin under my eyes hasn't bounced back. :'(

I took pictures before to document my progession but the skin under my eyes has thinned out (you can see veins now under each eye) and there are very deep indentations under my eye where all I wanted to fix were tiny fine lines. The fine lines are still there but now the area of my eye has collapsed and there are these three thick "folds" that won't go away.

I don't know what to do except to cry. There is no information about this and I read the EDS SkinBio thread in its entirety and have done everything right (started with GHK serum). I don't know what to do now...

To continue and possibly cause more damage? Or stop and possibly not get over the hurdle of remodeling?

The SkinBio CS (obviously) say to continue but I'm terrified... I wish I never tried CPs... Sad Sad Sad
