facial treatment at luxury spa is very expensive, can almost buy a Valmont cream. I have not visited spa/salon for 20+, I don't have much expectation and experience, but after an hour La Colline treatment, fine lines around my eyes disappeared for one day! I checked closely in the mirror today, still looking good. I was wondering whether is the product or the massage, she only gave me very very gentle massage, no strength at all, just use her finger tips to move around my eyes. |
your eyes still have the effect from the spa visit? try to find out what product she used and what type of eye massage she did. i'm so curious now! intrigued! |
Hahaha, so do I! I spent whole afternoon to search at La Colline website, I did check what products she used on my face, she used lotion in each step and a eye mask. The massage is nothing special, very very very gentle circular movement, but she focus a lot on my eyes area, she knows TCM, so she also pressed a few spots under my eyes (which is very easy to do).
This is the eye mask she used:

If I am willing to pay more, the spa can offer this one, but I believe is better to do it myself, it's abt USD200:

It is very expensive to buy La Colline from the spa, and I don't think they have counters in Shanghai, I probably have to wait until early Feb.

La Colline should be very similar to Valmont, also made in Switzerland, but the price seems cheaper. |

llina. The Bay offer is $10 off of cosmetic and fragrance purchases of $50 or more. Unfortunately it works better with cheaper products as the discount is the same per item. but I have been using them to get some Shiseido products in December. I also booked a Shiseido facial massage for later in January, free at the Bay at Queen St, after reading about it in one of your posts. This may be of interest for others in Toronto or Canada. Harriet. |
hey harriet! where have you been? happy new year!!!
i was just on the forum reading up lotion masks when i heard your post on this thread. i ran to my spa area and pulled out the vip passes. you're right! OMG its $10, not 10%. i swear, i see what want to see, and hear what i want to hear. oh my! well, no need to wait now. $10? what the heck?!?! that's not much!
btw, i gave mom all her skin care products for christmas, including that shiseido future cream and eye cream. you remember the one i bought for myself too, and i freaked out cuz it was hurting my skin. well, mom and i were talking after christmas dinner, and all that time she was massage her future cream on her face... i swear, her face looked transformed in a matter of 10 minutes. i asked my brother to look at her too. and he confirmed it. she looked different! better! holy! i'm happy now that i did get that cream for both of us. at least it worked miracles on her.
yes, the shiseido facial at the bay! i'm glad that you're going! if you need anymore vip passes let me know. what the heck am i going to do with $10 off?!!? i have 5 passes.
btw, harriet... i've been buying alot of stuff here on EDS... my fridge is full of valmont... and then i bought a whole bunch more on masks and products from other lines. i love the valmont and its working but i'm such a greedy savage i need more!
i think we have similar skin types... sensitive and rosacea... i'm trying prevonia (rosacea) system, gatineau, emminence organic, orlane, darphin, payot, and elemis. please don't ask... i went a little crazy!
also, for my/our skin type i'm trying out the lotion mask, tanaka massage, the concepts from 302 skincare,... i have the baby q but looking into the talika duo. do i sound confused? yes, cuz i am! its ok harriet, don't worry about me... i'm sure that after a few weeks of playing with all these products, if i don't have anymore skin left... m... i hear they do skin transplants now!
happy new year harriet! |

interesting... i think we're getting somewhere. you think it was the product or the massage or both. its wonderful that you found something that really works.
i'm going to check if there are similar active ingredients in the la colline vs vallont. intersting.
than you for sharing that!
happy new year critic! all the best to you and your family! |

critic,
did you get your valmont eye cream? i just ordered another l'elixir face cream and AWF III for face but i'm going to use it on my eyes. i don't like the awf III eyes, it is more like a gel and it pills. and i'm tired of looking at my dry eyes with wrinkles. i keep telling them to go away!
also have you tried IS CLINICAL??? i've been reading up on it all weekend. i'm probably going to try this very soon. *cross my fingers* |

I am still using the Valmont eye cream samples from my last EDS order, seems it is not effective as the beginning when I first started. I saw it in the mirror today and found the eye cream is layered under my eyes without absorbing in. Many eye cream is like that?
I hope my soothing cream will arrive this week! And my La Colline..... spent a lot on 5 products. |

I am still using the sample Valmont AWF Cyto Eye Complex Factor III . The Elixier is very expensive, I have searched the review here but is very negative, so very hard to judge. |

well its good that you're using the awf III, that's the strongest. i'm surprised it is not sinking in.
the awf III eyes is a gel cream. i not that crazy about it. it sinks in for me, but when i layer it with more valmont creams, and if i touch/rub the area, the gel cream starts to pill. it looks very unattractive to have dangling bits coming off my face. |

I am using II, I prefer III - it is more hydrate and penetrate quickly into skin.
How do you feel of II? |

I have tried La Prairie eye gel (still have not finished), I am using Valmont II and dab a bit LP gel. I don't have wrinkles but have fine lines. But I found massage and eye mask work for the best in my case. I am doing eye mask 2-3 times a week. |

hi Harriet,
I use La Colline massage cream for gentle circular massage around my eyes, follow by La Colline eye mask, the fine lines will dimish for few hours after masasge & mask. La Colline is a Swiss Brand, the price rnage is similar to Valmont. |
