Asian brands do better in whitening products coz of their preference in fair skin. |

I too have been using niacinamide and glucosamine in my cream and have found that this has lightened my skin all over, by around a full shade in three months, however it did very little for the individual age spots I had.
I have found a natural remedy that I have been using for two weeks that is working. Onion juice applied to the age spots is supposed to reduce them, as is acv, so I decided to combine the two. I finely chopped an onion and put it in acv for a week, giving it a little shake every day, then strained it. It smells like pickled onion but the smell only lasts for a minute at most. If it really worried you, you could try adding a small amount of essential oil to mask the smell, but then again it might smell even worse. I apply this to the spots at night. I never remember to apply it in the morning.
In the two weeks I have been using this there has been around a 25% reduction in the age spots. Remembering that I'm too lazy to apply it twice daily, I think this is a pretty good result and I'm definitely going to continue it. |

I found GOW Daisy serum to be effective. |
Hi jumpingball. Can you say how long you have been using this and specifically what it has improved for you? I'm using it too and am still uncertain about it, but have only been using it for a couple of weeks. |
Hi, Catski!
I have been using it for a few weeks, and I definitely see the lightening effect. My skin tone became more even, and I had to go half shade lighter with my foundation. I'm usually very skeptical when I start using something because most of the products that get raves don't work for me. In this case, I was really surprised to see an improvement after 2 weeks of starting using this serum. |
Thanks jumpingball. that sounds like a really good result, I'll keep at it then, spurred on by your success!
LuckyLouie,I love home remedies like the one you just described. Often they are so effective, and it's satisfying to be able to make something yourself. I'll definitely give your recipe a go. I do actually have a juicer, so I guess I could juice some onion. I wonder what type of onion is the most effective?! |

Use vitamin c serum. Most effective but at the same time it is too harsh for the skin. |

I have tried the I'm Fabulous Cosmetics Super Whitening Botulinum Face Lifting Primer which has mequinol in it got great results but I do not like the tingling effects I get the first few minutes I use it. But I love the I'm Fabulous Cosmetics Super White Bio Serum. It does wonder on my sensitive skin and got my skin much lighter. |
