Hello, everyone!
I am at the end of my rope. We all know sun protection is one of the key elements to good health, but it’s been elusive for me.
I drove for 5 hours roundtrip today and applied sunscreen twice (on the way there and back, so 2.5 hrs each time). Bad, I know. I got a burn. This happens if I don’t apply a minimum of every 30 minutes (20 minutes is better) and doesn’t seem to matter if I use a physical or chemical sunscreen. I apply heavily, too. And this is in the Midwest!
It is not always feasible for me to constantly reapply...like when I am driving on the highway, but obviously I then pay the price.
Any suggestions for a sunscreen that can hold me for an hour?
Supplements I can try? I read that astaxanthin may help.
Any other ideas short of wearing a ski mask or one of those sun shields?
I have a non-existent skin routine so there’s nothing I am using to make me especially photosensitive. Just have the misfortune of a low amount of melanin.
My skin and I thank you for your help. |
