[img]I’m only turned 18 a month and a half ago, but my skin has already started to fall apart. I have a bunch of small forehead lines in the middle of my forehead, and more prominent ones on the sides. My forehead is also filled with dozens of small bunps that have been there for years. My left eye area has a bunch of creases, and 3 new creases formed a few weeeks ago that are quite deep. One is very long and noticeable, especially after I first wake up. I know that these eye creases came from side sleeping though. They look worse when I first get up and disappear/mostly disappear when I haven’t laid on that side at all for a few days. Then I have horrible red splotches all over my face that aren’t acne and never go away that I’m pretty sure are broken capillaries. And something I think is a broken capillary cane around the time the eye crease popped up a few weeks ago,it’s a long, curved red line on my cheekbone! I pointed it out to my mom and she said if she didn’t know that it was just a random line she’d have thought it was the beginning of scabies (it’s not)
I don’t drink, do drugs, or smoke. My diet isn’t the best though. I almost always get at least 7 hours of sleep a night, maybe one or two nightd a week at 6 hours instead. Although I always fall asleep past 1am. I moisturize my skin after showering, usually with a CeraVe moisturizer. I sometimes exfoliate my face, not very often. I’ve recently included sunscreen into my skincare routine. And I recently added Jojoboa oil occasionally at night, and Lancome Hydra Zen moisturizer for my eye area and forehead. None of that has seemed to help at all. I drink at least 3 bottles of liquids a day. Like a bottle or two of water, and 2 cups of juice and/or a soda.
I think I’m way too young for my skin to be soing this and it makes me want to cry. No one else my age seems to be dealing with this horrible stuff. And all at once at that |

I can totally understand how frustrating this feels, especially at such a young age. A lot of what you’re describing (like forehead lines, eye creases from side sleeping, and red spots that might be broken capillaries) can happen from a mix of lifestyle factors, genetics, and even habits like how you sleep. The good thing is that many of these issues aren’t permanent if you start addressing them early.
A couple of tips that might help:
Stick with sunscreen every single day (this is the #1 thing to slow down lines and spots).
Improve your diet (more fruits, vegetables, and less soda/juice will help your skin long term).
Try not to over-exfoliate — sometimes irritation can make redness worse.
If you can, see a dermatologist to check the red patches and broken capillaries, since they sometimes need professional treatment.
Also, I’ve seen some practical skincare advice on sites like manzibam where they talk about natural care routines and products that are affordable but effective. Might give you some new ideas to try.

Don’t stress too much — skin often changes a lot around your late teens and early twenties, and with a consistent routine, it usually improves. |

Also, diet and sleep routines play a bigger role than most of us realize. |
