Do any of you see a noticable difference in your legs from wearing these? I tried them on today and was about to get them. |
i've actually noticed the biggest difference in my butt (yes, it really lifts) and the calves (more shapely). my legs didn't particularly need shaping as i've been walking and indoor biking so perhaps that's why i've felt it less in my thighs.... however, these puppies really did help me start losing weight -- something i never expected.
i started slowly, out of fear of falling more than really any feeling of instability. they're quite addictive, though, and i find myself wearing them almost every day, running errands and such. like i said, i was looking to these for shaping not weight loss, but my body is slowly losing the puppy fat i accumulated from the injury. my mum noticed this as it was happening in the states, and my BF and the butcher ( ) have commented since i returned to paris.
i've lost weight in my stomach, unbelievably, i think because this makes you use your core more to stabilise. my girls look more perky as well -- not sure if it's the weight loss or because i'm finally walking with proper posture again. walking itself is so much more fun, almost a game, and i find myself walking even more than usual or taking the long way round just because. and waiting in line or washing the dishes still amuses me as i rock back and forth. i'm just really loving these!
again, the key, i think, is that i'm wearing them daily. and, along with the stability issue, these weigh a freakin ton (which may have more to do with the weight loss -- like walking all day with ankle weights?). you don't actually feel the weight as you walk (at least i don't) because they are so comfy. the cellulite claim might be made because of the weight loss issue, i suppose, but i don't have any so i can't comment on if it helps or not.
i just can't recommend these enough. (i've even tried to convince my mum!) they are not overnight miracle workers but, with time and patience (do start slowly), they slowly whittle you down into shape.
they might not be everybody's cup of tea, but i for one and am in love. so in love that i'm actually going to try to get the high ones when i'm in madrid next month (they don't seem to available in france) so i'm putting my money where my mouth is.
