I agree with Janis. I've seen the most improvement under my eyes from the use of Retin-A. The only other products I've used that have made a considerable difference are products that include GABA and Argireline. The results from these products are substantial but temporary. Once you stop using them your wrinkles/fine lines will come back. Retin-A is the way to go. Start out with a lower strength and slowly work up to using it every night. |
I second this. Tretinoin is the only proven ingredient to erase fine lines. I have no problems with using 0.025 % tretinoin gel under my eyes every other night. There is no irritation or flaking at all, and I will slowly work my way up to every night.
It's encouraging to hear that you are seeing results, keli13. This is my third week on tretinoin, and I was told that results can be seen after three months. How long did it take before you saw an improvement? |
Thanks for the info - Forgive my ignorance but which range/s have the Tretinion in it? and does it have any negative side effects as I am usually a natural ingredient kind of girl - but that said, I understand that wrinkles and lines might need a bit extra! |
Hi, sal-star.
Tretinoin is retinoic acid, found in prescription-strength products like Retin-A and Renova. Those of us who don't have a dermatologist to prescribe it, have been ordering it from online pharmacies that don't require a prescription.
I live in Europe and ordered fromwww.alldaychemist.com, where a 20 grams tube of a generic brand is only $2-3. There are several other pharmacies offering Retin-A/tretinoin. Many of them have been mentioned in various threads on EDS. I recall that some EDS-members have ordered fromwww.inhousepharmacy.com. You can do a search in EDS' archive. |
