Hi everyone,
This is my review for Spectro HydraCare moisturizer for Normal/Combination Skin
I was on a mission to find a less expensive moisturizer for my skin so I decided to give the new line of SpectroGel moisturizers a try. I picked up the Normal/Combination Skin formula in hopes that it would replace my current oil-free moisturizer at a lower cost.
Review:
Texture: A little on the creamy side, felt slightly greasy as well(on my skin). It states that it is non-irritating, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, and fragrance free. I don't believe it is oil-free though.
Ingredients: Water, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes, Polyglycerin-10, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Salicylic Acid, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzethonium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide.
Packaging: Plastic bottle with pump: 140ml, comes in a box.
Variety: There are 3 different formulas: blemish prone skin, normal to combination and dry skin. This review is on the normal/combo product.
Cost: Very affordable, I purchased my bottle for $12.00
Summary of my experience: The first week of use it seemed to work well, then I started noticing that I was waking up with small whiteheads all over my face. I discontinued use and they stopped appearing. Also made my face look greasy a few hours after applying.
Conclusion: I would only recommend this product to anyone that has had success with the SpectroGel line of products. I will not purchase this product again.
Cheers!
