I use the Lumigan about two nights on, one night off. So I split between every day and every other day. So far, no problems with shedding.
I do not use a lash conditioner, but I also do not wear mascara most days. I curl them only and instead dye them with Permalash. I do use mascara lightly if I am going out at night, but I must be careful with the mascara because it can look other-worldly! |

I began using Lumigan on my upper lashes on Jan. 17, 2009, and in four weeks I can see results. My lashes are nearly transparent, so I'm hoping they will also darken. With mascara, my lashes POP! I put one SMALL drop of Lumigan on a mirror, use a tiny eye-liner brush, and apply the entire drop... won't waste anything! Finally, I rub the remaining moisture on my eyebrows before washing brush in clear water and placing it back in its plastic container!
I've had no reactions to the product!
So far, I'm very pleased and anxious to see what the next weeks bring! |

I am putting in an order for 6 bottles and giving some away for Xmas gifts....the 12 pr bottle is a steal, its the real Allergan lumigan and drs here sell it for over $100 pr bottle!I just wonder how long you can keep the lashes....will it only be temporary? My 80 yr old mom uses lumigan for glaucoma and I otice she has long lashes too. When I used the original JM formula , my lashes got SUPER long but after several months they went back to normal even though I continued to use the formula...that really bummed me out!!!!! |
Lucyluc, do you find that your lashes grow back out again with lumigan? |

i have this little red mark on the lid near my lash line, like its a irritation but only in one spot like it was stratched and broke the blood vessels, not sure why its there, its in the inner corner. I kinda remember it being a little itchy there a few days ago, i hope it goes away, i hope im not having a reaction to it. no where else its happening though!! |

I use 1000 hrs eyelash tint. Can only get it from outside the country. I started when I was using the JM and it was like I had mascara on all the time! I've stopped JM because I thought only the old version worked. And the cost is high for Latisse. But I had almost non existent eyebrows and use Rogaine on them every night and tint my brows every 3 weeks. They look fabulous and I feel normal. Threw out my eyebrow pencil. if I ever try this new way you guys are doing it, I'll tint the lashes again.
How much would you be saving by using alldaychemist?
Anyway, if you want to try it it is fairly cheap. I can go 6 months with one tube.

This could be in here but in the area where you put history do you have to say you have glaucoma to get this Lumigen? Do you have to "alter" your history at all? Do they contact your Dr? |

I left it blank, hit submit, and no questions were asked.
I received my order in 5 or 6 days, to Florida. I'm just getting to the bottom of the bottom now, and use every other night. It's been about 8 months. (I used nightly the first 4 or 5 weeks.) |

I have not noticed shedding yet,but it hasnt been that long; I think after 4 to 6 mos w/ JM it stopped working and I shed my long lashes. My lids are purple but that might have been due to an upper bleph surgery I had. |

Finally got my Lumigan order from ADC. Ladies who ordered from ADC as well, did your Lumigan box have a red label that said, "For India Use Only"? What's this about? |

Yes however I think it is a very long distance to travel three times a week so I've disregarded the label |

So the stuff is coming from India? Have you noticed what the expiration date is? |

For those of you who bought more than one bottle, what do you do if the expiration date is too soon and you cannot use up the bottles before the expiration date? If one bottle lasts 7-8 months, and you bought 3 bottles, then you'll need an expiration date of at least 2 years. |

Do any of you Lumigan devotees wear soft contacts?
I'm wondering if they will become stained or if I will become too sensitive to wear them?
(Sunlight already bothers them, so I wear sunglasses.) |

I have been using Lumigan for quite awhile now...going on a year maybe, or close to it. I don't have fabulously long lashes, but they are longer than if I didn't use it. The problem is it's really makes my whole lid red and in general the whole eye area. I haven't wanted to give up the long lashes, but I think it's time to stop using it. I hope the red lids aren't permanent! I thought I read about a new growth product that doesn't have the ill effects of this glaucoma stuff. I need to do some research. I love having longer lashes, but this red business stinks. |

The expiration date is 10/2010. I bought two bottles and I'm sure they will be used up by then. |

Fawnie, I wear soft contacts and I haven't had any problems. I don't think enough of it actually gets in my eye to have any effect. I won't delude myself into thinking that NONE of it gets into my eye, because I am sure there is some amount of "migration" but I apply it very carefully with a tiny brush from a craft store, so I think if any of it gets into my eyes, it's a neglible amount. Also, I apply it every other evening before bed, so I can't really say whether or not it would have any effect if I used it during the day while wearing lenses.
thirtyish, how often do you use the Lumigan, and how do you apply it? The very edges of my lids were getting red and irritated when I first started using it (almost 2 months ago). I decided to just back off application to every 3 days or so. This meant I was only applying 2, maybe 3 times a week, but I still saw results and no redness at all. A couple weeks ago I bumped it up to every other day, and I've had no problems since then. I might soon try applying 2 days and taking a break every 3rd, but I don't want to have the massive lash fallout others have had, and I think a key to preventing that is not going crazy with overfrequent application.
Also, how are you applying it? If you're not already doing this, try applying with a q-tip, or a small brush (eyeliner brush, or check out the really small paintbrushes at craft stores)... maybe that will help?
If that doesn't work (or if you're already doing those things), I'm sure it won't hurt to take a break... you can always pick it back up for awhile later on |
