You will love it, trust me. Check out HSN and eBay once you figure out your color. I bought the medium since I am warmer but if you are very light with pink undertones, go for the light. Both places have good prices for the kits and this is one product that I think is such a great option for a quick do or for travel (the reason I originally got it but now, of course, I use it all the time).

          | I am Light Medium (lovely! no clear cut choice here!) and I ordered the Light. But, I ended up ordering the sheer concealer later, in Medium. If you can give me a few minutes, I'll go to photobucket and then post a picture of my Disk for comparison.
I seem to be "photobucket challenged."

 Patience......be right back. I hope.

Okay, I'm back. Here it is, hope this works. The sheer concealer sitting on top is the Light. It looks pink-ish. The Medium is beneath it, in the Disk. It looks yellow-ish.

          | Ohhhh thank you Cedar, that helps. I'm fair/medium but with yellow undertones. I don't fit any of the usuals. My veins both tend to be greenish/blue, I'm a brunette and have blue eyes. But, what I want to cover primarily is the corners of the eye where I have some blue. I'm currently using Cle de Peau cncealer.
 Off to buy. Again.

          | You are very welcome, glad if it helped. Something else I recall: I called the LH company when I was debating whether to try the Medium sheer concealer, after using the Light. They told me that all of the items in the Light vs Medium disk are the same except for the sheer concealer and the spot concealers. So, that's why I only ordered the one individual item, the Medium sheer concealer. Hope that makes sense. |

My coloring is medium with pink/blue undertones. My eye are hazel (more green). My heritage is Italian/Irish. In the summer I burn some but then tan easily. The reason I like this blush so much is that most blushes fade quickly on me. After an hour of putting my makeup on I can looked washed out. For some reason the LH color stays with me. Pink/rose compliments my complexion. I also find that I look best in a very natural nude lipstick (I love Benetint with gloss). In my case I have never had a blush that looked as good and did not fade out.

BTW: Even though I have pink/blue undertones I use the medium LH (yellow). The light (pink) was too light for me. IMO most people will need yellow unless the are very fair.

          | I'm considering getting something from the LH line after I return from a 1 week+ trip (don't want to order before, in case shipping comes in the meantime) but I'm concerned about whether to order pink (light) or yellow (light/medium).
I have pink undertones and am relatively fair - but with ruddy undertones. My hair color is strawberry blonde (it has gotten lighter with age [I guess I should count my blessings as I'm going blonde versus going grey or white].

Initially, from reading the Lauren Hutton website, I thought I should get the pink (light) but I'm afraid it might end up being too light for me.

Does anyone have the pink/light disc? If so, could you post a picture of the disk contents or a link if you know of a picture. I'm surprised, the Lauren Hutton website doesn't have a close up of the different disk contents (that I've seen), other than this:

          | Hi lunarmm - I believe the photo above that cedar posted is a close-up of the Light/Pink facedisk. She made the additional solo purchase of the Medium/Yellow sheer concealer after she received her Light disk as she felt it matched her skin tone better. For comparison she did include the original Light/Pink sheer concealer pan on top of the facedisk in her photo. HTH's |

          | I've had the chance to use my LHFD for the past few days and must say that I love it! I have the medium (Yellow) disk.
I'm a "Need concealer but hate concealer" person, but I must agree with Winnie that the Light Concealer in this pallette is WONDERFUL for under my eyes. It's not a heavy-duty, opaque type (Bobbi Brown) - It's definitely sheerer. But somehow it's conceals without creasing!

It was close to 100 degrees at my house yesterday. I used the concealer topped with my LM MMU and my makeup pretty much stayed on all day (I was outside most of the afternoon). I did one blot in the afternoon with my MakeupForever matte powder. I'm pretty impressed as these circumstances usually mean my face has disappeared by 3:00...

I'm pretty sure there's a smaller compact that has the sheer concealer, blush, lip balm and contour powder...I plan on ordering that one of these days to keep in my handbag for touchups. If you don't want the spot concealer (or the brushes), I think that would be a great compact to try out this brand.

Also -- I have dark brunette hair. I find the brow powder a little too light, but find that if I mix it with the liner shadow it makes a nice brow powder (which I also need). I used the liner powder (wet) and it's got pretty decent staying power.

I think if someone is a Natural Looking Makeup Type, they'll really enjoy this product.

THANKS to everyone with their recommendations - it's really nice to feel totally satisfied with a purchase!
 HTH

          | OMG!!! I was finally able to view Scalawa's video!! Amazing The video, the star , and the disc! Scalawa, would you apply your LM MMU on top of all of this, or not? To be honest, I wasn't sure what you meant by "finishing powder" you used last.
Thank you for the great video!

Oh, thanks, girl! Here's the order: concealing with LH Face Disc, light dusting of LM MMU (didn't show this in video as I was only demonstrating the disc), then contouring with LH Face Disk (blush, liner, brow, etc.). The finishing powder was what I use last to set my look because I have oily skin (like Clé de Peau, Jurlique Silk Dust, and so on). Make more sense?

          | For anyone wondering what is different about the Light Disk vs the Medium Disk, you can call the LH company to confirm, but I do believe they told me the ONLY difference is the Sheer Concealer and the Spot Concealers. Everything else is the same.
I was worried I had bought the entire disk in wrong shade (Light) but all I had to replace was the Sheer Concealer, shown in pic above. I think it was something like $4, very inexpensive!

          | ok - I've read through this thread and broke down and bought the kit and brushes. I even ordered the AquaPress - hopefully that wasn't a waste- we'll see. It seems like this a product that some people don't love at first, but then over time really like it a lot. Does it just take practicing it and getting used to how to do it? I hope I like it! This forum is starting to cost me a lot!!! |

 LOL
I love this forum - but, yes, it has increased my beauty expenses! (have to say though that I'm happy with the effects of the purchases).
I'm interested in your feedback - especially about the Aquapress. I'm considering ordering some Lauren Hutton products after I get back from my trip (going away for a week).

 Cheers!

 I feel your pain
! I own the face disk (like it very much), and I just recently purchased a kit with LH mineral foundation, mineral blush, lip click, and cleanser.
The lip click was the main reason I wanted the kit (now the LH website is having a special so that you can buy it separately), but the thing I'm liking most is the mineral blush. Very little pigment, so I don't feel like a clown as I normally do with any other mineral blush.

          | You guys are killing me
Now that my taxes are done (April 30th deadline here in Canada), I will have to renew my search for a way to get the disc other than having to buy off the LH Canadian site (for those interested, there's a link on her main site).

Btw, is there a current promotional code for HSN? Maybe I can bribe my brother in the US to order it for me and send it along. Won't get my hopes up though, since he's expressed to me that he doesn't trust shopping online.

Scalawaggirl - have not viewed your video yet, but I will - even though it will probably depressed me more at not having easy access to the disc! (How are you enjoying Montreal, btw? And married life?)

Ok - I'm not really depressed, but it's time like this I wish I was back living in the States!

          | I received my LHTV package the other day, but was unable to try it out until today. I got the TV package, because it came with the coordinating brushes, and Tinted Moisturizer. The TM is great, although I don't have a lot of experience with this other than Stila (I say this because both seem to drag across my skin). It lasted all day indoors, with the occasional outside in mid 70'd today. The colors matched perfectly; I'm medium asian (a little more pink than olive) skin (sorry no mac No. to compare it to... long story). Unfortunately the concealers that were creme (most that I noticed were my under-eye circles) didn't last that long on my oily-ish skin (Although I don't really consider myself oily anymore with my current routine... I've been combo for the past 6 mo. or more...But not recently using IFP mattifying PC or NIA24 SS (<---which makes me flake recently) The mascara even lasted without a flake or run, but the true test is in the southern humidity(unlike today). The powders (mainly the eyebrow) lasted longer. (not sure about the blush (didn't show after a few hours, but I didn't really concentrate on it), and the nose (contour) powder didn't really make a difference that I've noticed, yet... or any of the contour. I don't know if this will help any, but it sure is fun to work with. whew... omg... I feel so valley-girl-ish....

          | Hi everyone!
I'm wondering how those of you who ordered them find the LH brushes? Do you think someone with sensitive skin will find them soft enough? Oh, and are they natural hair or synthetic?

Also, do you think someone without a lot of make-up experience will be able to follow along and apply properly without the co-ordinating brushes?

 Thanks!

          | I tried this yesterday for the first time. It is wonderful. I have a VERY fair complexion and most products have too much pigment for me--no matter how lightly I apply--no so with LH. Everything is so light weight and subtle. IMO, definitely worth a try. |
