Sel, thank you once again! you are so helpful!
It`s a shame on me, but the only way I know of clearing the blackheads is to squeeze them out Laughing
but certainly it is not an option, as I can develop pimples and then scars from it Shock
In fact, Clarisonic is on my wish-list, but I cannot afford it now.

Aiva...me too Embarassed i'm always trying to squeeze them out. There seems no other way of doing it, and even squeezing them doesn't seem to help and as you said the you're left with red marks and scars.

Actually trying to get rid of the blackheads is an ongoing battle.
I did use the Jan Marini Bioglycolic Cleanser aswell to see if that would help. Again it went well for a while but I've since discontinued using it. I've only had my Clarisonic for a week. I don't know exactly what I was expecting. Part of me hopedthat after a few uses my pores would be clear but I know that's completely unrealistic. Maybe in time!

I'd definitely suggest trying the Mama Lotion, the sample lasts for ages and you can't use it every night because it's quite drying but I find it surprisingly gentle on my skin.

Sel, good luck to you with your Clarisonic! Very Happy There is a lot of raves about it, so I hope you`ll like it.
I will have a look into Mama lotion, thanks!

i think my situation is similar with you both~ though i hvnt try thr boiclear lotion/cream, i query the use of salicylate acid/AHA product causing the more prominent blackhead, though they really work at the beginning in refining the pore and diminish the blackhead~ i also thinking of the clarisonic cleanser....

it`s sad for me, but the JM bioglycolic bioclear has never refined or improved my pores. Sad
All it`s made was giving me "polished" skin, glowing with a nice rosy colour (I read somewhere it cames from micro inflamations caused by acids), but from the very beginning I noticed much more blackheads and "dirty" pores.

micro inflamation.....really afraid of this term and also make me hesitate to use any kind of AHA/acid containing product as well as the exfoliating cleanser

I personaly would use the cream over the lotion as its more emollient and gives less chance of irritation.

I've tried both the cream and the lotion and hands down the cream is much better! I found it made my skin smoother.

Too bad BHA and AHA usually don't work on my skin.I also saw lots of drugstore products contain the same ingredients as this one, can't convince myself to give it a try yet

I am on my first week still using the Bioclear lotion and the Bioglycolic cleanser for oily skin.

The cleanser does sting especially in combination with the lotion and I'm using the lotion only once a day. My skin is reddened and scaly and flaking near the chin/mouth area but it's better now that it's day 5!

My pimples have decreased but have not completely disappeared but it's also TOTM for me

I'm going to persist in using it even though I really don't like the stinging the lotion gives because I'm seeing results. Will update later! Hope this works for me as it has for others! Smile
*Fingers crossed*

I've found the bioglycolic bioclear lotion has really helped prevent acne. It does sting a bit but I got used to that and find the stinging goes away quickly, especially once you put moisturizer over it. I've been using it twice per day and have not had any problems with it. I've been using it for at least a year. I use it in combination with the bioglycolic facial cleanser (which I only use once per day) as well as the JM transformation face serum (also once per day). I would rather be using something a bit more natural but so far I haven't found another skin care line that works as well as this at getting rid of the cystic/hormonal acne on my chin. At 34 I figured dealing with acne would be a thing of the past.... but no such luck!

Very Happy

I just ordered the Bioclear, and I saw when I got home today that they tried to deliver today, so now I have to wait until tomorrow. Aargh, I hate waiting! Anyhow, does anyone have any tips on dealing with the stinging or irritation? I'm hoping maybe I won't have too much trouble as I was using the PSF AHA/BHA previously.

Oh boy, it does sting. Try to start off with using a very, very small amount. Then follow with moisturizer after the bioclear lotion sinks in. It still doesn't eliminate the flaking and the irritation altogether but it helps. I accidentally used too much the other day and it stung really badly. Otherwise it's bearable if I use about a drop for my face. I also avoid the chin area now (use bioclear maybe once every two days) because it's too sensitive there.

Thanks Honeychan, tonight will be my first time using it, I will brace myself for the sting! And I will use your advice of using a very small amount.

I just use one pump of the bioclear and that's usually enough to spread a light application over my face and doesn't cause too much stinging. I really did get used to the stinging after a couple of weeks and don't really notice it anymore (although putting some type of lotion on it afterwards does lessen the stinging considerably). I was finding it irritated the skin on my checks underneath my eyes a bit so I avoid that area all together. I usually just focus more on the areas I tend to break out on, which for me, is mostly my chin but I also put some on my forehead, nose and a bit on my cheeks.

Well I've tried it for two nights now, and no stinging! I must have extra tough skin, or maybe I'm just used to it because of using the PSF product before this. I really like the feel of it, it applies well, and I'm looking forward to seeing some results hopefully!

It's really weird, my right side of the face is a lot more clear now but my left side still has some breakouts and the hyperpigmentation is not fading as quickly.

But it's only been about a month so I'll be more patient. Smile

How's it working out for you?

It's definitely helping with blackheads and clogged pores, but I'm not seeing any difference yet in hyperpigmentation. Like you I will continue to be patient!
