wow, i am so happy to have found a support group of underwhelmed cellcosmet users!

I was seriously afraid to speak up on that one. and the worst part about it, it lasts forever!!!! I feel the need to use it up, but oh how I long for my SC eye balm and osea eyes and lips...

most overrated for me:
eluage!!!!!!!

btw, i think talika works great for some--my lashes are already growing, darker, more numerous after two weeks of lipocils...

Ditto on the DHCC...it didn't do much of anything for me.

Oh, it's so cool to see this thread. Do you ever wonder if there's something wrong with YOU if you try a highly praised product only to be left with a "so what" instead of "oh WOW!" feeling? I was seriously getting down on myself when I'd try something and it didn't live up to what I expected...anywhoooo...for me....

JB Green Apple Peel
ISC Super Serum - I liked this, but didn't love it enough for the cost
Prevage (left me with a terrible allergic reaction!)
Creme de la mer (can't figure why THAT is so hyped - I think I like Ponds cold cream better!)
True Cosmetics Radiance Revealing Serum - no radiance revealed - it did absolutely nothing for me.
Nars Orgasm blush - looked like glittery crapola on me.
Cellcosmet Eye Cream - again, I liked it...but not for THAT kind of money - waaaaayyyy too expensive for me.

Maria Very Happy

I agree that Strivectin did nothing for me. I tried it for stretch marks, and absolutely nothing. Also Hydroderm - how could they stay in business? I won't even take their free samples.

Oh really? On Re Vive? Where was it rated very well? I had samples of it but I did not purchase a full size. I did like it though but the texture was a bit wierd.

I think Ylang Ylang from Decleor is overrated but some people who PM me insisted that it is great. Who knows, it might be and I will suggest it to anyone who have similar skin condition.

EDIT....I forgot to add the Valmont Renewal Pack but it was nice though. Smile

Strivectin (did nothing)
Lip plumpers (all of them)
Decleor (nice, but no wow)
Most MMU's (no HG yet)
Cellcosmet eye cream ( heavily fragranced)
Prevage (really clogged my pores!)

It seems to do nothing for my eye issues, ie. dryness, a few fine lines (I'm mid 20's but have always had these fine lines since my teens I think) and dark circles. It does absorb easily but can't keep my eye area moisturized. Rolling Eyes I'm still looking for a good eye cream to address my eye issues.

BUT other than the Eye Cream, I'm happy with all other Cellcosmet product which I have in full size--Purifying Gel, Activator Gel and Anti-stress Mask (Theresa sent me this and I'm liking it so far Razz ). AND I finally placed an order on the Cream Cleanser this morning. So I guess I'm still qualified as a Cellcosmet fan. Laughing

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream (don't shoot me, but I just don't get the point of this stuff)

Decleor (I find their products are a lot of hype & don't do anything - yet I am fascinated by people who swear by it).

OK - hiding under my bed in fear!

ooh! I forgot to mention the DHCC in my post too. One tube is so expensive but the results were minimal for me.

I'm glad all these products work miracles for some people. I just wish they did for me too Sad

Girlzmommie,

I have been through alot of Decleor products and yes I soooo agree some are hyped way beyond what they deliver. I am usually sampling every new product in this line. I do not think that the line is good for anti-aging but purifying, balancing and soothing. They do tend to be gentle on those prone to breakouts etc and the oils seem to have a fan base with Asians in the UK.

These are the ones I buy over and over:
Decleor cleansing gel for combo skin (fabulous)
Decleor Phytopeel (yet to find a better cream exfoliant)
Decleor Balm a Levres (cured dry, flaky lips for good and i am never without this)
Decleor Hydra floral antipollution moisturiser (lovely day moisturisr/texure for winter and no reactions)
Decleor shaving gel (for the men in my life)

Nice to haves:
Essential balm for pms acne
Aromapurete Purifying Mask

Overhyped for me:
Experience de l'age (all of it)
Prolagene (good for sunburns that is it)
Ylang ylang oil
Aromasun (too pricey)
All Body stuff except for the aromaspa line

HTH

I think if DHCC wasn'r priced so steeply I wouldn't say it was overated, because the homemade one is just fantabulous!

I've had serious pore congestion for the longest time, and my skin was always bumpy but this helped tremendously. And it faded my acne scars and evened out my skin tone all over.

I don't use it anymore now simply because I'm lazy and have fallen in love with other things, plus my pores aren't that congested anymore (I use OCM for maintenance).

I'm glad my mother doesn't use message boards because we argue over this all the time:

I feel Environ products are overated. I haven't really liked anything I have tried from them B-Active Kit (pretty sure I'm allergic to the tea tree oil), Moisture Gel (the least offensive), and currently Classic Night moisturizer (way to greasy for my oily skin)

It's funny though...I'm the brunett middle child (mom and 2 sisters are blonde)...so go figure they all love Environ and I don't like it Laughing

First one that comes to mind, probably because of the price is SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex. Didn't do a thing, the pump was next to useless and last but not least, the smell Rolling Eyes !

OMG ... I noticed an immediate improvement with TNS! Just goes to show that everyone is different.

I also find Creme de la Mer interesting. I tried it in my 30's and it didn't do a THING. A decade later and I tried it again last summer during a trip to the beach and it was wonderful.

I agree on the Dr.Hauschka products, they do nothing for my skin, too much alcohol in this type of skincare. And they are seriously overpriced on EDS. Wink Nor am I very impressed with the Dermalogica line. Some products are nice, but nothing more.

Most high end mascaras are do not deliver what they promise. YSL's really reeks of parfume, Lancome's clump and dry out too quickly.

Oh, almost forgot, Vichy is a horrible drugstore brand...
