Hi Septembergirl
thank you for replying to my question
The retin A i have is .05%. I was using the the lower strenght but have changed this last time to a bit higher. I seemok on this though every so often i do get a bit flakey and have to stop for a day or two then im ok to carry on again.
Should i be using retin A every night. Im just worried incase it can make my wrinkles worse or anything

Sally, I think you should start out with applying moisturizer followed by Retin-A under your eyes two - three times a week for at least two weeks. If that does not cause flaking and irritation, work your way up to application five times a week, or every night, if your skin tolerates it.
If you introduce Retin-A gradually, it should not produce wrinkles, but erase them. Good luck. |

Are Retinol and Retin-A the same thing? I can not find any creme containing Retin-A. They all have Retinol..
Has anybody used RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream, 0.5-Ounce Tube?
Thank you! |

No, it's not the same thing. Basically RetinA is much stronger and is a prescription drug. You can get Retinol over the counter, but apparantly it's not as effective as RetinA. Retinol is not necessarily useless, but check the amount of Retinol that is actually in the product If you have to go OTC Retinol, I believe PSF offer a product with a resaonable amount of retinol |

Thank you very much for your response.
What is reasonable amount of Retinol? Could you maybe give a percentage?
Could anybody recommend a good PSF creme that includes retinol?
Thanks! |

I'm been using DeCleors eye products, and MD:s and I'm very satisfied with both.
Now I just bought Decleor Expression De L'Age Relaxing Eye Cream, and so far Im Very satisfied with this product. I now it isn't on your list, but try to get an sample of it next time you buy something. |

Hi,
Save your money and use vegetable glycerine that you'll find in the health food store. Use it at night and whohla no wrinkles and it heals the stuff that you may have caused by sun damage. Absolutely no oils or oils in product around eyes at night. When it gets heated by the rise in body temp that occurs when sleeping, you will end up with permanent damage that cannot be corrected easily. I learned this at a young age and as a result I am 60 and no crows feed and perfect skin. If you do not like the glycerin for some reason, then look for eye gel or serum without oil for night. During the day creams and oils can be used. I live what stivectin does. I found an imitator at Rickys beauty supply for 10 bucks in NYC that works really well. |

I've been using retin-a every other day, but I put moisturizer/oils on 10 to 15 minutes afterward, not before.
On the few occasions where I skipped adding the moisturizer/oil after the retin-a, my skin got really irritated and I had to lay off retin-a for several days. |

Flawless Skin Eye Serum by Laura Mercier. I fell in love with this product. My eye area that gets dry by the end of the day stay moisturized. Really looks like I don't have any wrinkles around my eyes anymore, which I was getting before. |

Sorry to bother you all again, but does anyone have any recommendations for eye creams or serums that aren't too oily, but are good for wrinkle prevention and rehydrating the skin under eyes? I'm deciding between about 6-7 right now and if anyone has used any of them or knows of a good one they recommend for my issues? I'm not sure what is better for wrinkle prevention and nourishing skin - Peptides or antioxidants? These are the ones I've been trying to decide on:
1. Eminence Herbal Eye Contour Cream
2. Cellular Skin Rx Eye Bright Treatment Serum
3. Dermalogica Multivitamin Power-Firm for eyes & Lips
4. Cellular Skin Rx Firming Peptide Eye Creme
5. MD Formulations The Temps Brighten & Tighten Eye Serum
I know I've heard alot about the Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream, but that's just a little too pricey for me right now. Anyone have any recommendations? |
Unfortunately none of the ones you want to use will prevent wrinkling and none that I recommend will either. They will make your wrinkles look good but thats about it. I like Harmster's suggestion: sunblock. Its the only anti ager to prevent further wrinkling any where on your face.
For 24 hr moisture around the eye area right up to (and I even apply over my eyelashes) that you want look no further. Try Elizabeth Grant's eye serum with just any moisturizer over that and WOW. You will look dewy, and moist looking. I just cannot live without this product. Just remember though, it won't prevent wrinkling either just nice feeling, not dry skin. |

Hi guys what do you think about using retin a in you're 20's? Have you guys ever had you're fine lines go away under the eye area? |

For eye wrinkle prevention, I think two eye creams work pretty well from my experience. One is Neocutis Lumiere eye cream and the other one is GM Collin Phyto Stem Cell eye cream. They both are very moisturizing, but absorb well without problem for you to put on makeup afterward. And they both do make your fine lines or wrinkles around eyes much less obvious. |
