I've used it a couple of times ... OK, but not overly impressed. Also, it's kind of messy to apply, at least in my hands.
However, I think I'm becoming addicted to the Ahava Dead Sea Liquid Salt. Must have gone through 5 or 6 (maybe more) tubes the past few months. Instructions say to leave on for 2 minutes, but I leave it on half an hour, or an hour if I have time. I really love this stuff, although I can't rationally specify exactly why.. just like the way my skin feels after. |

What is the dead sea warehouse products?
I love AHAVA too - the dermud line. I am a loyal user of dermud hand, and foot creams, and am going to purchase the body lotion too. |

| If you are looking for a cheaper source for Dead Sea Mud, I think ajudaica (.com) has the best prices I've found. I haven't bought from them yet, but I want their AHAVA Dead Sea Black Mud powder to make my own facial mask. I think I can get a better bang for my buck mixing it myself, and then I don't have to worry about preservatives, etc. |

I got responses from other people that nothing compares to Ahava dead sea mud - you just can't compare it to any other.
Some may be fake, some have some foreign particles in it, etc. etc.
So I am sticking to Ahava brand. |

I was just thinking about how I love the dead sea so I googled it and there is a company called Love the Dead Sea
http://www.lovethedeadsea.com/index.html
The mask is $13, that is pretty reasonable. |

| why would you pay $13 for a small jar of DSM and kaolin when you can purchase a kg of great DSM for that much? |

| I want to just go swim in the Dead Sea! It does wonders for your skin, as we all know. I've seen on TV how people sit and float in the sea, they read books without getting them wet! It would be so much fun to play in that buoyant water while also giving my skin such a treat! Plus the history of the area would be interesting also, and the food! |

Yeah well, you can't really play in there cause if you get even tiniest bit of that water in your eyes you will scream. And it's not really as comfortable as it looks in pictures - people go there for health reasons mostly, it's so hot and the sun is scorching, so you wouldn't really want to sit in it too long under the sun.
And you can't really swim in it - the water is too thick to really swim in it.... But it's a truly marvelous place, one of the seven wonders and worth visiting. |

I think its work.
When I get pimples, I will apply a little on my faces and I can see that it gets better afterwards. |

I have the Ahava dead sea mud that's just the mud, comes in a soft-pack plastic bag that you warm and cut open. No fragrance, additives, or extenders---just straight up mud. I did a body wrap with it, and it's quite itchy as it dries. The pack was soothing and left me all pink. Took the pain right out of a very sore wrist with a ganglion-cyst for a day or two, which was unexpected. I wouldn't use the mud on my face unless I mixed it with a bit of jojoba oil and perhaps some lavender EO or other nice-smelling oil. It's pretty fierce stuff. |

Hi, I just looked at this mud online and it says not to use on the face. Why is that? Is it too strong, or is there another reason? |

SoCalGal,
I would think if it's made for use on the body only it is very likely too strong for facial skin. There are others out there that are made to use on your face so I would go with those. |

I would say it is "too strong": it has a high mineral content, and I think it would be quite drying and irritating on facial skin. The facial products I've seen cut the pure mud with emollients and kaolin & bentonite clays.
There's no reason you can't dilute the stronger mud yourself for facial use, but you'd need to find a way to reseal/preserve the larger open packet of mud for future use. It has no preservatives and is wet, so conceivably bacteria might be able to grow in it. It's so strong with mineral salts, though, I don't know what could survive in there, really. Probably put it in a ziplock bag, and use a sterile spoon or scoop to measure out the mud. You could likely freeze the open bag, as well.
A spa I worked at just kept it in a 5 gallon bucket with a scoop in a supply closet for body wrap use. When I'd open the bucket, it was like a blast of sea air--just very potent stuff. A body wrap leaves the skin beet red for hours, it'd probably wreck your facial skin used undiluted. |

| I've used DSM as facial masks and my skin loved it - it was glowing! minerals aren't hurting you, but every kind of mask has a different purpose, so depends on what are you after - moisturizing, detoxifying etc. |

| I tried the Dead Sea Premium Mud, It's a funny product that after you remove the mud with its magnet provided, there will be a shinny layer left on your face, just leave it on and the next morning you will feel your skin is more smooth and soft. But this product is not suitable to acne skin. |

I tried dead sea mud once....but unluckily, it's too "strong" for my sensitive skin... After using it, my skin become very very dry, adn even a pit peel off.
I feel that "mud" doesn't suit sensitive skin...I also tried another mud mask - borghese's mineral mud mask, and the result it was similar to the dead sea mud.
Though I also heard that some mud mask are good, but sensitive skin just can't afford it~~ too bad! And I can only use some very general mask for deep cleansing |
