I had botox/juvederm last week and to my surprise the doctor was impressed with what he called (a lot of healthy collagen in my skin). My skin is so thik that he had to change the needle for juvederm.
What I use: 60% glycolic or 20%tca every 5 weeks - obagi - dry brushing - dermaroller(sometimes)- retina for 2 years (used accutane for 3 months then back on retina) vitamins like msm vitC and silica
My sister always worries that I go too strong but my skin is resilient and can take it. |

I have horribly thin skin too. With the massage that has been talked about in this topic I'm just wondering for how long each day you massage for?
I also worried about using retin a, taken85, I've seen things saying it can thin the skin too, but im coming round to the idea the more I read on here with people saying how much it has helped them. |

With massage, they generally say to aim for 10-15 minutes a day, which is easy to fit in.
Retin A only things the outmost layer of the skin, but it thickens the inner and bottom laywers of the skin.

I used La mer creme before and it really did a good job to thicken my skin. My skin is irritable which can be irritated by air pollution and weather change. The problems are solved when I used La mer creme for few months!!! It is really amazing!!! |

Yes it is possible to thicken or "plump" up skin. I got thickened skin from using a Lactic Acid 15% cream - as it exfoliated and added a lot moisture from deep within. I used Refinity Revujevating Cream 15% AHA. |

Well it thins the outmost layer, but it encourages cellular turnover on the bottom layer, so there is a thickening as such, but also a thinning too

I'm the same. It always makes my skin *appear* thicker and plumper. Perhaps re-hydrating drier skin types helps the skin to function better over-time. |

It most definitely does. The skin needs hydration in order to function, grow and heal properly so by moisturizing it, you are allowing it to do all those good things |

Yes I agree with you and for thicken your skin you have to treat with a brand beauty product that were suggested by your beautician. |

You need to give some time for your skin for recovery. Simple and hydrating skincare may help your skin. |

How to rebuild your skin and make it thick again.
(reversing the effects from prednisone).
2 things to take:
horsetail extract pills (1 pill 3x a day) - i get mine from swanson vitamins online for cheap
and collagen pills (1 pill 2-3x a day). i get a huge bottle of this from costco
take both of these for atleast 9 - 12 months and your skin should be back to normal (yes it takes time to rebuild, but it does work.). and most doctors will tell you there's no cure - don't believe them.
as a side note, be sure to drink twice as much water when taking horsetail extract . it seems to dehydrate a little and cause a little constipation. but drinking more water alleviates this. |
