Hi bushy.
So nice to hear from you on the EDS site and glad you are feeling better. I have not been here for quite a while also. I used some of the Cellcosmet products and liked the moisturizers and eye cream but not the activator as it was too irritating it seemed. I had some Valmont samples but do not feel they were enough to really fairly evaluate them. Also it was a long time ago and I think the names have changed. I am really needing to find a good cleanser for combination skin; too gentle and my pores fill in and too harsh and my skin gets irritated (mild rosacea on cheeks) and dry. What do you think is good. I am currently using Chanel and La Mer lines. |

Hi Harriet
Nice to hear from you again.
I have really just started back seriously again into proper skincare, having not used anything decent for a while when I was recovering.
I am not really up to date with all the new lines on EDS but just wanted to go back to what I knew was tried and true for me. I am extremely happy with the Cellcosmet products and will stay with them now.
I am using the Cellcosmet Purifying Cleanser and find that it is quite different to when I tried it several years ago. It is now quite creamy with a small amount of lather. I find this cleans very well and is gentle enough to use on the eyes as well which I much prefer. I think most could just use the cleanser followed by the toner which is also quite gentle and the Exfoliator. Of all the exfoliators I have used, the Cellcosmet one I find to be the best as it is almost like a mini facial because not only does it have fine grains but it is left on for 2 minutes which also helps to clear the pores.
I have never tried Chanel or La Mer but they both have good reputations. |

Hi Bushy
thanks for the information about the Cellcosmet cleanser, toner and exfoliator. I think I will start with the exfoliator and add it to what I am using from Chanel and La Mer. There are some products I have from these lines which I really like. always a struggle to use just one line or to mix them a bit. have decided to use one line for a month or two and then the other. also I am trying to use up what I have rather than adding more things. when my skin gets irritated from too harsh cleansers I think then the La Mer Concentrate serum and the original moisturizer are amazing. We have such crazy weather here in Ontario Canada. from 40 with the humidity in summer and then can be 40 below in winter with the wind chill. and like you in Australia sun protection is also critical I feel.
thanks again. will let you know how I find the exfoliator. |

Is there only one exfoliate product?

I guess my case is rare. Just want to raise the concern that some people, though very few, may have allergy to Cellcosmet eye products. I have found some posts on other beauty forum also mentioned the allergy. In contrast, I never develop allergy to Valmont products. Valmont serums including hydra 3 and Prime AWF Polyfactor Repair Serum Factor III can be also applied to eye area. I have very dry eye lids, so I need some heavy stuff on my eyes, especially during the winter. |
