Keliu, I really look forward to hear how you like the cream! You have a lot of experience with skin care so there is much you can compare it with - I am only just a beginner.

Thank you for that vote of confidence - just be aware that it's probably totally misplaced! I've given most things a try, but am yet to find that product or gadget that gives me that wow factor.

I was about to press the "buy"button on AnteAGE this morning (just the serum) - but the $200 for six weeks just gets to me. I've already booked in for six monthly laser treatments which are costing nearly as much - but I'm not frightened of the laser treatments (I've had too many) and I just think that they're money better spent.

The collostrum cream is probably just another lot of nonsense - but along with the A, C E and essential oils it does have MSM as well so that (and the price) made me give it a try.

Interesting article and website, I am curious as to their agenda - are they a nonprofit?

Couldn't find much info about them.

Looks like a "one man band" to me - but they don't appear to be selling anything. There's one page that states that colostrum is available from healthfood shops etc.

Here's some info about bovine colostrum and cytokines:

I've just ordered it! The postage to Oz was only $6.00 so I thought I'd give it a try as it also contains Vit A, C and E and essential oils.

Have you been able to find the ingredients?

No - and I did do a Google search. But all I got was the Vitamins A, C and E, Essential Oils and MSM. I'm just hoping that any other ingredients in there are "natural".

the "Benefits" of taking colostrum at the Environ link says "supports the immune system." I was expecting it to say something about benefitting the skin. Confused

Most of the studies that I've found are also related to benefits to the immune system. But did you read the studies I posted above about the stimulation of cytokines - that sounds positive for the skin. (Seeing as how cytokines are the buzz word around here at the moment).

"Cytokines" is a buzz word that can mean all kinds of factors with different actions.

The paragraph under "Growth Factors" is of interest to us.

"The vital growth factors in the human colostrum are similar to that of bovine colostrum...................................... ..............................................................Growth factors have also been used as an effective topical application for burns, injuries and skin rejuvenation".

Do any of you dermaroll/needle your neck for collagen induction (not just for product penetration), and if so, what needle length do you use? Have you seen any positive results in terms of tightening the skin, etc.? Thanks!

I do. I've used 0.5, 0.1 and 1.5mm. I'm afraid that nothing I have done to my neck has ever improved it. And that includes two rounds of PRP treatments. The skin on my face is pretty good for my age - but my neck is terrible and nothing seems to help.

Sorry for all the double posts - I'm posting from my tablet. Does anyone know how I can prevent this from happening. I only press the "submit" button once but end up with two posts.

Back to the colostrum. I bought some colostrum powder which you add to water to make a milkshake. But I'm adding it to my morning protein shake. It delivers 8% colostrum. I wonder if the capsules would be better (I figured the powder was more economical).

Now if this posts twice I'll scream.

LOL better scream! I never had it on my apple unless the site was going nuts!

I have seen the powder and capsules, there was a site in NZ selling the powder but people were adding it to their dogs food? Embarassed

They had some gorgeous photos of different colored labs and their coats were shining as if coated with silicon!

Thank you, Lotusesther. Unfortunately, I don't DIY, but I will check the Epicuren and Environ and see which looks better.

I use the Epicuren Colostrum serum and like it a lot. It's a serum though not a cream so it is only minimally hydrating.

There is a funny story in this month's issue of Elle magazine indicating that water based serums and essences are actually better for hydradation and they gave the reasons, something about penetration lol.

Well it makes perfect sense to me - just seems totally logical.

That's what I need - a neck lift.

It's a very nice moisturizer, gives a nice sheen to your skin. I just need it for some extra moisture sometimes. I don't have any wrinkles so I can't say if it helps with them.
