Just thought I would give everyone an update....

I am still using my Environ products (9 months in), and have had no negative acne impact nor any desire to change product lines...a rarity for me, lol.

I am using the C-Quence 3 and Eye Gel, and just placed an order for my first bottle of C-Quence 4. For the most part I am only using it once a day. I found that I was not consistently using the toner, Q-Quence cream, or Frown Serum so I don't see myself reordering those.

I am currently doing ReAura treatments, and am applying the Hydrating Serum followed by the C-Q3 and Eye Gel immediately after a treatment. It doesn't appear to make me overly sensitive to the treatment, so I am continuing with that routine.

Once I finish the ReAura Treatments, I am going to focus on inflammation reduction and will be adding some remaining Colostrum Gel in the morning to my routine, plus possibly adding in an Epionce moisturizer to help repair my skin barrier. But I will still be sticking with Environ as the foundation of my routine.

I don't think I ever did a review on some of the Environ products I bought, so here goes.

C-quence eye gel- this is one of my favorite products from this line. It is very lightweight and sinks in well. My undereye bags are much better lately but I attribute this more to some of the gadgets that I am using then to any serum I use. The product last me a long time. Much more then the 6 to 8 weeks they tell you to use it in. I am kind of worried that it will go bad but I haven't seemed to have any problems with it yet.

C-boost- This is a very lightweight Vit C cream. I was kind of leery of ordering this because I like my Vit C in serum form but this was a pleasant surprise that I had no problems with the cream. I do still use my Mad Hippie Vit C serum first thing in the morning. Then go exercise, take a shower then use the C-boost. I don't think you need 2 different forms of Vit C but the Mad Hippie really got my acne under control and I refuse to give it up.

Environ original mild night A- I bought this originally to use after the ReAura laser so I could still get Vit A but not use Retin A. It's ok but nothing special and a little too heavy on my skin so I won't reorder.

AVST body oil- I bought this also to use after the ReAura and dermarolling. I don't usually like oils but this sinks in really well and feels like you have nothing on. I will probably keep some of this around to use on and off.

C-quence 1 and C-quence 4- both of these were to heavy and sticky for my oily skin. I was able to use the C-quence 1 without breaking out too much but the C-quence 4 was like a bump in a bottle for me. I would get a pimple the night after using it and if I used it 2 nights in a row that pimple would turn into a giant cyst. I tried all kind of usage schedules but was never able to overcome the pimples. I ended up using it mostly on my neck, chest and hands. I would not order any of the C-quence products except the eye gel again.

Overall I think this is a good line of products with some clinical research behind it. I am not sure I will continue with it because I have no problems using Retin A or Vit. C and those products are cheaper then ordering this line. I do think my skin looks really good right now but I have gone back to using RA and I do think the gadgets I am using are making a difference.

Wow...it is amazing how differently we all react to products, because I find the C-Q line to be very lightweight. But I have combination skin, and don't generally put it on my nose or chin.

You have me scared about C-Q4 though....I will definitely keep an eye out for new breakouts once I start.

I will say that while the line is pleasant for me to use (meaning easy and no irritation), it hasn't performed any miracles and I would definitely be using Retin A instead if I was able to tolerate it.

Hi Bethany, I would think if you are already using the C-3 product with no breakout troubles then you should be fine with the C-4. The C-4 was quite a bit thicker then the C-1 but I would think there isn't nearly the difference between 3 and 4.

I do really like the science behind Environ but I have decided to spend more on gadgets and go for less expensive products because although I think you do get some results from some lines for me I get more bang for the buck with gadgets. Plus I can get Retin A pretty cheap and it does have a lot of research behind it and causes me no problems. Good luck with the C-quence 4.

I can tolerate Retin-A, and I am currently using Environ C-Quence 4, which I also tolerate. I would switch back to Retin-A simply because it is less pricey than the Environ *BUT* Dr. Fernandes has suggested that people who use Retin-A (as opposed to retinyl palmitate at high levels) tend to have worse results from a medical roll. Has anyone else heard or read anything to that effect?

I believe most of us that have ordered have definitely believe they are authentic. (Only 1 exception that I can think of) There are way too many packaging details that counterfeiters would overlook if they were packaging cut rate fakes. Service is great, and I personally like the products.

I am sure they purchase from an authorized dealer or someone directly at Environ. Based on their selection, they purchase from someone in South Africa, because they don't sell some of the international market products like the AVST line.

Btw, they have been in business for quite a few years, and appeared to have changed names once. (yes, I did do some research on them before buying, lol)

Can someone give me some details about the ACE oil from Environ?
I'm wondering what strength the A, C, and E are -- if that's available information. And other ingredients?

I'm actually wondering whether this is strong enough to use for the pre-rolling period (the month (or more) of vits. A and C as recommended by Dr. F) or if it's really only appropriate for post-rolling.

Also, how many mls (or oz.) in the bottle?

TIA!

Hi Bacchus, I have the AVST Vitamin A,C & E body oil. Is that the product you are talking about? It is 100ml or 3.38 oz. Here are the ingredients off the bottle.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) seed oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Retinyl Acetate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, BHT

I don't know the percentages of a, c or e in the oil but my thinking is that it's not really strong enough for the pre- rolling period. I think it's better then nothing but I think you are better off getting a stronger product.

Thanks CookieD!

I didn't realize there was a AVST version of this ... I was actually thinking of the body oil as that was all that came up in my initial search. So this has put one more variable into my generalized confusion Confused

But thank you so much for the ingredients and volume info! I wish they would post those on the website.
Oh, I see now, that the AVST version of the oil does show the volume (it's visible in the photo) whereas the body oil version doesn't. Why do they do that?! I mean it seems a very basic bit of information for the consumer, doesn't it?

So i guess one of the other products would be better pre-roll? Like AVST or CQuence (??) I'm so confused.

I do have a vitamin C serum that I use occasionally (DeVita) but haven't used any vitamin A in years. I really should get back on that .... Shock

Hi Bacchus, Vit C and A are two of the best products (with the most research behind them) that you can use for anti aging.

I used the Cquence 1 and 4. They were both too heavy for my skin type but other people have had good luck with them.

Both AVST or Cquence would be better for the pre-roll period but you can also use a different Vit C serum and either Retin A or a different retinol product but I wouldn't use them during the dermaroll itself.

There were 2 versions...I posted info about them earlier in the thread. But now I see 3 versions?

Environ Intensive EssentiA Forte contains high levels of vitamins A, C and E for those with mature, sun-damaged skin including scarring, cellulite and stretch marks...

Environ Body Oil ( upgrade from AVST Body Oil ) is ideal for treating sun-damage on the body and added hydration of the face. Rich in vitamins A, C & E, it nourishes the skin...

Environ Enhanced Body Oil is formulated to provide the skin with ultra high concentrations of vitamins A,C & E to help energise dry and sun damaged skin...

Hello

Just to clarify - there are 2 strengths of Body Oil available

1 - A,C, E Body Oil ( previously known as EssentiA Body Oil ) This is the regular strength

2 - Enhanced Body Oil ( previously known as EssentiA forte ) This is the increased concentration

Both are 100ml and all contain Vitamins A, C & E. The only difference are the concentrations.

Kind regards

Hi all!

With the EWG caution against retinyl palmitate, is Environ still a safe product for use, particularly for dermarolling? I'm currently using the Ionzyme range and the Avst Body Oil, and tho'they contain retinyl acetate, won't retinyl acetate be functionally similar to retinyl palmitate? I read somewhere that retinyl palmitate is but a synthetic version of retinyl acetate.

Could someone shed some light on this?

Thanks!!

Their concern was primarily related to sunscreens containing retinyl palmitate. But their view was quickly debunked:
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/analysis-finds-sunscreens-containing-retinyl-palmitate-do-not-cause-skin-cancer-100332434.html

I still use Environ, and when I use sunscreen I use a physical one like Burnout.

Thank you Bethany!

The reason I ask is because I just started on Ionzyme C-quence eye gel, both day and night, and on a recent short outing under the sun, I immediately developed some dark spots in my eye area. The eye gel is the only addition to my regime, and the rest of my face, except my eye area, was unaffected by the outing. So I'm really concerned if there may be some truth to retinyl acetate/palmitate interacting with UV light to create adverse effects.

Do you use Environ in the day time, or solely at night?
