Has anyone tried Environ RAD SPF 15 Suncreen: http://www.touchofskincare.com/environ-sun/environ-sun-care-rad.html ?

Image

Can anyone comment on its consistency and sunblocking capabilities?

Thank you!

Thank you Bethany!

The reason I ask is because I just started on Ionzyme C-quence eye gel, both day and night, and on a recent short outing under the sun, I immediately developed some dark spots in my eye area. The eye gel is the only addition to my regime, and the rest of my face, except my eye area, was unaffected by the outing. So I'm really concerned if there may be some truth to retinyl acetate/palmitate interacting with UV light to create adverse effects.

Do you use Environ in the day time, or solely at night?

Hi, I just saw this post so sorry for the long delay in replying.

I use Environ primarily at night, but have also used it in the daytime with no issues.

Lots of stressful things in my life as of late, and I stopped focusing on my skin for a couple of months. However, I was putting on makeup for a dinner out, and suddenly noticed that my lines were more pronounced than in the past and that my skin just looked and felt drier.

Sometimes it is difficult to see exactly what products do for you, until you take an extended break. Needless to say, I started back on Environ tonight. Hopefully I can back to my previous state of nicely hydrated skin, and then I will start another series of ReAura treatments once I am appropriately prepped with higher levels of Vit A and C.

Hi bethany, glad you started back on the Environ. I think they are great products. When I combine the colostrum gel and c boost my skin looks great the next day. The other product I regularly use is the ultra night cream. I don't feel the need to use the ionzyme c-qence line. But, I know they are truly powerful products having tried them once.

I just placed another big order today. Couldn't resist the discount code.

This time I added two new products. The super intensive moisturizer and the alpha day lotion.

Even though Environ tries to scare people off from buying products from touch of skincare and other websites, I still think they are authentic. Although, every time I place an order I still worry a little bit.

Take care.

Pack, I think TOSC is 100% authentic, and I have zero concerns ordering from them.

I have the Environ Toner, and I noticed that they said you can mix the toner with the moisturizer in your hand and it can increase absorption. I tried it, and I think that may actually be true.

I need to check my email and see when that expires. Btw, I am combining Environ with Epionce...I think they both have great benefits, and I hope that they commingle successfully since I am using both, lol.

FYI that I am mixing the Environ toner with the Epionce Melanolyte to help with pigmentation, since I have not seen any real pigmentation improvement with Environ by itself over the last year +.

Here is my routine, which will combine Epionce and Environ products. You will see a few other brands that I am using up, and then they will not be repurchased (except the Olay, Elta MD and Burnout). I will review the products on the appropriate threads. FYI that I will be sticking with the Epionce/Environ combo for the next 6 to 12 months.

Skin care routine:

AM:
Olay wipe or shower
Environ eye gel
Environ Toner mixed with Epionce Melanolyte
Epionce Intense Defense Serum on face, neck, chest
Elta Md sunscreen on face
Lumixyl or Nia24 on arms
Burnout Sunscreen on arms/hands

PM:
Olay wipe or shower
Environ eye gel
Environ Toner mixed with Epionce Melanolyte
Environ CQuence 4 on face
Environ CQuence 2 on neck and chest
Epionce Intensive moisturizer/eye cream
Lumixyl or Nia24 on arms
Environ body cream on arms/hands

It looks like Dr. Fernandes is writing a book!

Quote:
Dr Des Fernandes, founder of cosmeceutical brand Environ, is to launch a book about the science of skincare in September.

Written in conjunction with freelance writer Jennifer Munro, Your Skin Factory is aimed at beauty consumers, and attempts to banish the marketing hype and give accurate insight into cosmetic claims about skincare.

Fernandes said, “I’m outraged sometimes by how much hype surrounds normal cosmetic creams and how little they actually do for the skin.”

The book will cover issues such as vitamin A’s fundamental role in skincare, or preventing and reversing the effects of sun damage, and improving scarring.

Come September, the book will be available from Environ's UK distributor, the International Institute of Anti-Ageing (iiaa).

Wow. This is great news. I would love to read both Dr. Fernandes and Dr. Setterfield's books to see what each has to say.

yes, I hope to do the same. I hope both are long on evidence based info and short on pushing their lines (Dr. F- Environ) and (Dr. S - MTS).

I expect they will mention them...but hope to get more info overall as there seems to be so much changing right now from the original studies of 10-20 years ago.

This would be a really good deal. The ticket to the seminar includes a free copy of his book and it's only £29.95. I read earlier on EDS the book alone was going to be a couple hundred dollars.

I wonder if he will be going on some kind of book tour that will come to the US. Somebody could email the company. They might know.

ETA: Here is a link to the up coming book. There is no price listed yet on this site.

Here is kind of an answer to whether Dr. F will be doing a book tour. See the last line about supporting the launch with a visit from Dr. F/and or Jennifer. (Not guaranteed)

The book is owned by Fernro Publishing Ltd
The book explains Dr Fernandes’s ground-breaking ideas and theories about skin health
The book will be well-supported with online advertising and Public Relations
We will sell printed, copyrighted books to you if you are a distributor, a bookstore or an on-seller of books
The first printing of the book will be ready to ship from Hong Kong in July/ August 2013. Depending on which country you are in, you will receive the books around the beginning of September.
You will be responsible for their insurance from when they are delivered to the dock.
We will need a confirmed order for a quantity of books by 30th June 2013 for the first edition
We will need a delivery address.
We may be able to support the launch with a visit from Des and/or Jennifer (not guaranteed)

I just sent an email on Dr. F website asking if a individual can pre order/order the book directly from their site. I also asked if they had a schedule for any book appearances in the US. I will report back if I hear anything.

The price seems high to me too, but not inconsistent with the prices charged for academic textbooks.

I've paid close to that for some of my other derm textbooks...which are chock full of science and no branded product promotions.

It would be great to see about getting a group discount....maybe a MUA discount, disclosed of course Wink

I find it interesting that Dr. S's updated book is slated to be released at this time too.
