I just looked, they have it.

Never mind; looked again, saw you meant RENOVA, not Retina A

Mars have you received your order yet? If so was it what you expected?

Hi, I received one .1 20 gr. tube from Magicpharma yesterday. I've used retin-a in cream and gel form for years. This tretonin was different from any I've used. It has kind of an oily feeling. Surprised I expected it to sting a little bit because I haven't used .1 for a while. It didn't sting at all. I don't know. Confused Has anyone else experienced this?Anyway, I should have another 20 gr. tube and some numbing cream (to use with my Dr. Roller) arriving soon. By the way, 20 gr. is tiny!

Well, hopefully it doesn't mean anything. I was off my RA for about 6 months and then went back on the .1 and it didn't sting either. Only started to feel a bit irritated & itchy after a couple of weeks using it every day. And that was when I got it here locally.

I have tube of .1 that I use once every 3 months for a week (I use .25 or.5 every 2nd day) and it doesn't sting at 1st but within 2-3 days I look like I have a serious sunburn. Can you keep us posted as I need to order more Retin.

I am hoping one of you can answer this question. I know I saw a thread about waiting 20-30 minutes after washing/toning to put on the retin-a does anyone know why?

Hey everyone, long time reader first time poster =)

I have ordered online from both unitedpharmacies dot com and doctorscripts dot com. Doctor scripts shipped overnight, but cost a good deal more after shipping, The Retin A micro 0.04% that I ordered from them had an expiration date three months in the future. Not a big deal, I'll use it up before it expires, but it's definitely something to keep in mind. The United Pharmacies order took seven business days to get to me and the Retin A cream 0.05% has an expiration date a year from now. Their customer service is also very polite and helpful, I had a glitch with their automated order confirmation system that was easily straightened out. The 20g tube cost $36 with shipping, a wonderful deal. It's genuine branded stuff too, no generic tretinoin. In box and with the leaflet, too. I think in the future I'll definitely order from them for refills.

As for waiting 20-30 mins after washing, it's so the skin is fully dry. Any moisture on the skin causes loads of unnecessary irritation. While some peeling is necessary as the way Retin A works is by speeding up mitosis and sloughing, why go overboard? Some derms say that you don't need to wait the half hour with Retin A micro due to the microsponge delivery, I've had enough irritation personally to warrant the short wait. It's also recommended that you wait about an hour to use a moisturizer also, again to cut back on unnecessary irritation.
Hope my little dissertation here helps, sorry for being longwinded! =)

However im wary of medsmex now as i had my credit card number stolen less than a week after shopping there. And it was the first time id used my credit card in ages too. So seemed a bit suss to me.

I got the product though to australia in only a week.

Inhousepharmacy dont have renova unfortunately.I trust them more.

I'm so sorry to hear this! This is why I am so, so wary of ordering from medsmex. Does anyone else have positive/negative experiences to share? Please share.

I have been buying Retin-A and Renova from them for at least 8+ years with no problems.

I ordered Retin-A from MedsMex one year ago. Everything was fine until the parcel arrived customs (in Norway). I got a letter from the custom authorities telling me that I was not allowed to receive prescription strength drugs from abroad. The parcel was returned to Mexico. Crying or Very sad

If MedsMex had been writing "cream" or "skin care" or something similar on the parcel, I think it would have passed customs without problems.

So no Mexican help for my wrinkles... But does anyone know if the other companies are more discrete when they ship parcels? TIA. Smile

Thanks for the welcome =)

When I received my order from United Pharmacies, it was in a small brown box with a label on it that just said "health items". It was posted from Hong Kong, not sure if that might flag customs to look in it or not. They would probably figure it's an herbal remedy as that's what the label sort of makes it seem like. Unfortunately, the other company I mentioned only ships to addresses within the USA.

BTW, the website that I used to find both of these online pharmacies was pharmacyreviewer dot com . I spent loads of time reading into a bunch of them as some seemed very shady. You can find quite a few online pharmacy review sites though that can be quite helpful, especially if they have lots of comments from people who have ordered before. Ultimately though it can be a bit of a gamble with all the wacky schemes out there like counterfeit drugs, diluting drugs or even just plain not shipping an order and stealing the CC number. The two I've done business with have been lovely though so I only hope that's just a case of a couple of bad places ruining the reputation for the bunch.

Thank you very much, Sario. It seems like you have done a thorough research. United Pharmacies might be worth a try.

If you look around you can also find places with a guarantee - if you don't receive your order within a specific time frame for any reason they will re ship it to you or give you your money back. That was definitely one of the things I looked for in a place to order from.

Welcome Sario I hope you become as addicted to this forum as the rest of us Very Happy
Thanx for the info I thought it was about reducing irritation but just wanted to make sure someone else had that idea. Thanx too for the websites for Retin I will give them a try next time I need a refill.

I get both my retin-a and my differin from 4 Corners Pharmacy: 4cnrs-skincare.com
A 20gm tube of the .05% is $29 and a 30gm tube of the .1% is $39. Prices include shipping. They also have a generic version of the .05% only, which is cheaper. My 30gm tube of differin is $30. I get my order in 10 days. I think they're located in the UK and I'm in MD. HTH!
