I just wanted to say that I have recently discovered a product called 'Arubix' made by Sicobel Labs.
It is an anti redness cream containing Golden Chamomile. Double blind trials/clinical studies have found it to be very effective on redness/couperose/rosacea.
It comes in 3 formulations - one for dry/sensitive skin, one for normal/combination skin and an SPF 50+.
I decided to give it a try in desperation and have been using it about three weeks.
Now I wasn't going to post until I was sure it wasn't coincidence as the studies show that usage over a period of 10 - 12 weeks shows optimal results but I have decided to share my experience as I know how distressing the redness can be.
First I would like to add a caveat that my rosacea/couperose is not a severe form - I get very red cheeks which show some small capillaries when it is flushed and I recently begun to get a few break outs; I am prone to break outs on my T Zone but this was different and on my cheeks. My GP said there was nothing she could do for the redness and to avoid triggers. I have always been prone to blushing and have had redness previously but have usually been able to remove the cause from my skin care routine (I have previously used glycolics and other actives without reaction). However this year my skin rebelled (following a great deal of stress) and went red on my cheeks, dry and flaky all over while oily at the the same time. If I treated one condition it aggravated the other, I tried basic stuff like cutting out all actives and just using a mild Ph balanced cleanser and emu oil and while this didn't make things worse it didn't improve things either.
After doing several google searches and following a disappointing visit to my GP who told me it was mild rosacea and at the stage it was there was nothing she could do; I found the Arubix and so ordered the 'S' version (dry sensitive).
I found the texture to be light, soothing and non greasy. It sinks straight in and my skin felt calmed. I use it twice a day.
By day 2 I woke up and gingerly looked in the mirror expecting the usual morning 'extra red' that takes most of the day to fade and to my surprise the redness had faded!
Now this can happen occasionally anyway so I tried not to get too excited. Long story short my dry flakiness has gone, my breakouts have healed and the more to the point the redness has practically gone! I have had one flush a week (upon waking)in the first few weeks (am starting my 4th) but they have faded much more quickly and I find if I blush at work or get hot my sking returns to normal much more quickly.
So far this week apart from a small flush yesterday morning (which faded in less than an hour) my skin has been fine.
I would definitely give this a go - I don't know how effective it would be on severe or long standing Rosacea (I don't think it will remove visible capillaries for example) but it does seem to help with the over all redness.
At £20ish per tube (here in the UK) I figure it was worth a shot and so far the gamble has paid off. I have found things that have helped before but usually the results have been short term (days) so I am optomistic that the Arubix is going to continue to be effective - will update as to progress.

Thank you Lucia. I have just logged onto the Arubix site and found some very interesting natural anti-aging products. |

Hi,
Just wanted to post an update - I am LOVING the Arubix! My mild Rosacea is now pretty much in complete remission! I have had one minor flush on my 'worst' cheek in three weeks which cleared much more quickly than usual.
Plus it has the added benefit of seeming to fade red marks left from breakouts more quickly too.
I have actually been able to use things other than filtered water, Avene Spray and Emu oil on my skin without it acting up!
Brilliant product! Hope it keeps working - I plan to try to phase out twice daily use and use it only at night eventually.
Always going to have a tube of this in the cupboard! |

So happy to hear about this product! (It made me join the forum to say that!)
Where do you buy it in the UK? I will be in London next month and would love to take advantage. It's quite expensive online here in the states.
Thanks! |

I was told by some friends that Sophyto is better than Avene. Of course it depends on each one's skin condition. Even one product is good for most of people it still not useful or good for someone else, due to different condition. |

Avene is good at anti-redness. Because most of times, redness happens account for our sensitive skin. Avene could deal with sensitive skin very well, so that thin skin could be treated well. |

lilyofthevalley thank you very much
Sorry I have not seen those products on the site
Sophyto line seems very interesting.
Pevonia is specificaly for rosacea problem that I don't have. I had bad experience with product for rosacea because most of them contents ingredients to also treat acne problem. |

hi there - I'm having good results with Suki transformative cleansing clay, intensive brightening cream, and balancing toner for day, and Image vital c cleanser, suki balancing toner, suki nourishing moisture at night. If I had to pick just one of the above for the rosacea, I'd say the cleansing clay. |

for some reason i couldn't post my entire message, so here's the rest:
I've tried eminence couperose c serum in the past - didn't notice anything at all (but it was only a third of a bottle my aesthetician gave me).
I've also tried marie-veronique Redness Remedy marieveronique.net, which did help, will definitely try again at some point. |

Yes Sophyto line is really good. I personally use it and found really helpful to skin redness, and my friend also said to me that it's helpful.
Pevonia is something I am studying right now. We can exchange some opinions. haha~ |

Yajo, as I was staying in a humid climate, I find it adequate enough to use it alone as a moisturiser. But yes, you can use it under your day/night cream. It can be used as a mask too! |
