Has anyone tried ReAura Laser Device from Philips?

Thanks, Panda! I never give up hope and am thinking of ReAura in a long term way. I don't really have anything loose or hanging, just a crepeyness with vertical creases, but I am very heartened with Cookie's update and your encouraging experience.

It is my understanding that with laser the changes go on for approximately 1 month after the last treatment as that is how long it takes to remodel collagen.

What was the exact name of the treatment you had - gonna look into that!

It is actually longer than that because collagen takes quite a while to fully develop...more like 6 months minimum.

This article says 6-12 months for Fraxel results.

I would suggest that 6 months is for the final result after some major work on this young man, you should see results with the ReAura after 6 weeks. With a continuation of improvements over the 6 months. PQ

Ugh..I am now into Week 2/Level 3, and am very glad that I am NOT doing this every day. Frankly, I don't have the time, plus I am doing it 4 days a week (2 for face/neck/chest, 2 for hands/arms). I can't even imagine going through this every day of the week. Shock

My post treatment regimen is:
- Environ HA Serum (let absorb)
- Environ C-Quence 3 Serum (let absorb)
- Environ C-Quence Creme
- 24 hours later - ReAura Aftercare Complex

At least you seem to be handling it ok - I was worried that you wouldn't be able to tolerate it because of your sensitive skin. I think you'll find that the more treatments you do, the less time it will take for your skin to recover.

I am definitely handling it better than I thought, considering that I have sensitive skin. But considering how long a treatment cycle lasts, I think I am going to squeeze in a dermaroll too, and then take a long break.

You can always skip a treatment and just do one session for a week to let your skin calm down. I don't usually do 3 areas in the same session but I have this go around and it does take a lot more time. I am glad that I only have to do 2 treatments a week. For me personally I don't think I would keep it up if I had to do a treatment every night. Maybe if I was only doing one area it wouldn't be as bad.

Doing it does get quicker. Quite considerably so. And yes, I haven't started on my hands yet because I just couldn't face doing that much treatment.
I did settle down and resign myself to the drawbacks, especially after I discovered very hydrating skincare, and dug out my high coverage make up.
Hang in there Bethany, it's really worth it. I sympathise.

I have a client visit on 1/23, so I am going to do only one treatment the prior week, and then start back up until I get back. Then at the end of the 8 weeks I am going to do a mega dermaroll and give things a break for 2 months.

I think it will definitely be worth it. There is a reason that they recommend treating only one area during your first cycle, and I am sure that is to get quicker, and to avoid getting burned out on it too early in the process!

Late last night I was attacked by a case of chest hives as a result of my last ReAura treatment.

Fortunately they aren't too bad, but I think I will definitely use the Aftercare lotion on my chest immediately after my next treatment. I may have to skip the next scheduled treatment until it goes away. Sad

I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I posted on the thread I started that I had just done my first treatment about three hours ago and I fully expected to wake up tomorrow and still be very red. Actually, though, I'd have no problem going out in public now - it really has subsided. I did use a cooling pack, though.

Not trying to minimise problems that anyone else might have; just giving a different viewpoint. And I was really apprehensive about doing this, which might sound daft after the financial outlay, but...

I still really want a Hospital Group one stitch facelift, though (google it), and it's not prohibitively expensive. My friend and I keep saying we'll have a weekend away and do that. It's minimally invasive but it's still a knife; hence my reluctance to actually go and do it.

I would say different viewpoint as well as different approach. I am personally trying to avoid reducing inflammation (like with cooling packs) in order to maximize my collagen development per the wound healing cascade.

But to each their own...the good thing about life is the number of choices we all have. Smile

Does anyone else hate doing their arms? It seems to take forever to get through the session. My hands take a little longer too but I think that is because they are so bony.

Arms are boring! And the hands definitely are not easy. Are you doing just the backs of your hands, or your fingers too? (I skip the fingers)

In the ReAura book it just shows the lower hand part themselves so i do skip the fingers. It just seems to take little time to do my face or neck. This will probably be the only round I do on my arms because they are really ok. I will continue with my hands because of sun damage and I would like for them to grow some collagen so they aren't so bony. Sad

sorry it's off the reaura topic but have u guys used retinA on hands? I have been using it for a month or so, only couple of times a week , .1% on my hands n they have become super smooth, almost slippery to the touch....

I have used Retin A on my hands off and on. Maybe I should try to stick to using it and see how it goes. I really can't remember it doing much but maybe I wasn't really paying attention.

I should add, at the same time I started using shea butter & oil mix too.. and sunblock on hands is a must with retinA

on face .05% Retin, for 3 months but results not even closee to as I got on my hand in one month

So I have only done 3 treatments on my face, but I have definitely already reached an ugly phase. Shock

The few pigmented spots I have are now peeling, there are bronze colored speckley areas, and I'm still reddish even though my last treatment was on 1/12. I used Cure tonight, and more grossness rolled off my face than even the very first time I used it. Even my arms and hands had skin roll off, and they never do that. The ReAura is doing what it is supposed to do, but it sure is yucky!

Since I am visiting a client for work next week, I am going to wait to start back up until I get back in town. Then we'll be back in business. Very Happy

Hi Mishey- I called SpaceNK in the UK and ordered the gel over the phone. I called the SpaceNK New York office and they said I could order it on the UK website but I could never get the sale to go through.
