I wouldn't hold your breath on that one, lol.

I went ahead and bought 2 extra jars when I placed my initial order, but I would really like to find a more affordable option.

I'm probably just going to whip up a DIY duplicate at one point to try out.. The ingredients are just too simple!

Halina has been using her unit since Sept. and still has loads left. The only way I would be using a lot is now working on my hands. It really takes more when you are doing that.

I use a very thin layer (or thought I did, lol), but am about half way through my jar after 9 treatments on my face and neck. Maybe I have a big head? Confused

I have been using the STOP for 6 weeks now, every 3rd day. My skin is in quite good condition, mid to late 30's. I find my skin looks much more plump, fine lines around eyes are reduced.
I am still quite pleased with results, will soon be on maintenance phase.
(I also use LED's and other gadgets as well) hths. Very Happy

Hi Chinachatters - it's just dawned on me that you were the poster that started the "I Had My Face Tightened Today" thread and that you were very happy with the results. Could you tell me exactly why you are so negative to the Stop considering that it is supposed to be the same kind of technology - although much less stronger of course.

Toby, considering that you have been using the Tua Viso, how can you be sure that it has been the STOP that has delivered the results that you are experiencing and not the Tua Viso - or indeed, a combination of the both?

This is a good question to ask but I have used microcurrent devices on and off for years....the last one was derma tone which is much like the Tua Viso. While I like them there is no way they affect the skin this way, they can tone muscle and help the appearance of sag only. What I am experiencing is tighter skin that is adhering to the face, I can do the pinch test and see the difference. Nothing I have ever done has actually affected the sag like this. By the way, I have been slack with the Tua Viso and haven't used it but once in two weeks. Need to get back to it because I really like it.

I am doing a left hand test. After I do my face I take a spatula and scrape the gel off one side and put it on my hand. It's called recycling. Wink

Toby,

your neck looks fantastic (it did not look bad to begin with).

How do you work your neck - just up movements on the sides of the neck?

TIA

I have not been particular with the movements on the neck. I find myself going up and down more than in circles. Make sure to treat up under the jaw and where the neck and throat meet. I spent time there and it really tightened things up.

Toby,

thanks for the info.
I will definitely try to spend more time in that area.

I had gotten lax with my treatments, but should restart again.

Hopefully, I will see some results too.

For those that have Dr. Yarosh's book called The New Science of Perfect Skin, you might want to pop it open to page 228 and read up on his view of professional level radio frequency treatments.

In a nutshell, he thinks it can ultimately degrade collagen, which is counter productive in the long run. Shock He put the Titan laser in this same category.

Quote:
Bottom Line: Radiofrequency devices are no miracle advance over lasers. They have the disadvantage of generating heat, which is painful and may induce collagen-digesting enzymes, and the benefits are no better than the alternatives. This seems like a technology in search of a treatment, and it is not recommended.

Didn't want to hear that. Finished my 8th treatment yesterday morning and so far don't see anything good or bad. I will do one more treatment tomorrow then won't be able to do another one until next Monday as I am going on a short vacation and am not taking any tools as I will be sitting on a stool in front of a slot machine for 3 days. Wink

Regardless, be sure to relax and have FUN!

A slot machine is a "tool" for exercising the arms and is, therefore, a treatment!

In regard to Dr. Yarosh's comments - he says RF may induce collagen-digesting enzymes. He uses the word "may" because he doesn't know for sure. He "may", of course, be completely correct. However, we won't really know the long-term effects of this technology for years to come - by which time some other new technology will have replaced RF.

I'll take the degradation if I can get a neck like Toby's?

I think the proof is in the putting. You probably have to keep up on it.

The Stop WILL BE my last gadget. I just read the book again and it says that a user should see some results after 3 1/2 weeks. Tuesday was my 3rd week. I plan I doing the Stop treatments for another month. If nothing shows up by then I am done. I am 62 so maybe I am considered Over The Hill thinking I will see results. Oh well, it's not the first time I wasted my $$ on something.

I plan on starting Ageless if you Dare in one month. Can't wait to start grabbing some skin.

I do hope that everyone using the Stop will see results and that it isn't something that's not safe to use in the long run.

As far as a vacation, this is the first one for us in about 5 years because of Frodo's diabetes. Now that he is playing at the Rainbow Bridge and business has slowed to a snails pace we can leave together for a few days. I would love to be one of those people that leaves Las Vegas with a major change in life style. Very Happy

True, but at least he has nothing to gain either way.

I will definitely be taking his perspective into account when I come up with my gameplan on how frequently to use my STOP on an onging basis, even though he is talking about the professional strength RF machines.

Sometimes I think all of us need a reality check. The fact of the matter is that there are no women in their 70s or 80s that look like they're still young - except those that have had masses of surgery and manage to look just plain freakish. Aging is inevitable.

And sometimes, when reading the results of those that are in their 40s, I have to remind myself that when I was in my 30s - I looked 15, when I was in my 40s - I looked 20. I didn't start to really show my age until after I turned 50 - that's when the rot sets in! Even so, I still don't look as aged as my peers (and Kassy, I know this is true of you also).

And Frodo, you're never Over the Hill until you don't have enough strength to lift that gadget up to your face or pull that slot machine leaver! Laughing Have a great time in Las Vegas!

I decided to give myself a little refresher on expectations after reading Frodo's comment above...

Quote:
In a STOP TriPollar RF clinical study, scientific measurements showed a 30% reduction in fine lines and 16% reduction in wrinkles within three and a half weeks. Overall skin texture was greatly improved.
http://www.win-health.com/stop-age-tripollar-rf.html

Well, this has definitely not been the case for me. I am at week 5 (out of 6) with 9 treatments under my belt. In fact, my skin actually looks worse and has more fine lines. Shock However, I attribute that to some dehydration from the treatments. That's probably part of the reason they want you to use the After Cream. I am going to increase my usage of moisturizer for the remainder of the initial treatment cycle, since I typically don't use it at all, or once a week at the most.

Quote:
5. How often can I use my STOP™ anti wrinkle treatment?

The optimal frequency for using STOP's™ anti aging treatment is 2 -3 times per week for 4-6 weeks for achieving long lasting, non invasive skin tightening results. It is recommended that the STOP™ device not be used more than once every other day. It is recommended to let the skin rest one day in between each treatment in order to allow the natural process of the skin’s collagen renewal to take full effect. Once the initial treatment course is completed, it is recommended to use STOP™ once every 2-4 weeks and as needed to maintain the long term anti agine results.
http://www.stop-age.com/faq.php#5

I think I will feel pretty good about using the STOP on a monthly basis, though I may treat just the lower areas where I have some sagging every 2 weeks.

I'm not throwing in the towel yet. Very Happy
