| Oh. One other thing I have started to use my Retin A again too. maybe that is silly - maybe not. Seems to work ok though. I think I am a tough or crazy cookie. |

So you use Retin A as well as level 3 on the Tria? You are brave! Retin A would make me red all on it's own. I'd be curious to know how long you use it on your arms and legs, do they get red too and if so for how long? |

| I'm new to this forum and am addicted to skin care. I'm 53 but am told I look at least 10 years younger. I have minimal crow's feet, faint 11s and some significant smoker's lines (even though I don't smoke). I have a Baby Quasar, which I've been less than religious about using (my husband has fits about the light), but I do like. Before joining this forum, I ordered a Tripollar Stop which is due to arrive Monday. However, after reading all 40 pages of this thread, I'm wondering if I should have bought the Tria instead! I would welcome any input on this. Thanks in advance. |

I had the STOP and used it for a about 4 months. I'm sorry to say I didn't notice very much improvement but then it takes a long time for new collagen to form. Perhaps I was too impatient for the results. I also recently bought the Tria, it's too soon to see any results. I'm confident though because of all the glowing reviews about it here on EDS. I also like that you don't need any gel to use it so it's not messy and very easy to use. |

Thanks ladyjean. Looks like the Tripollar is going back and I'll be "making four easy payments" to HSN for a Tria! |

For those that purchased in the US (or plan to), the regimen is different. It says to treat 5 days a week for 12 weeks. I sent an email over the weekend to find out why there is a difference, but I haven't received a response.
I went from level 2 to 3 after one night and I understand why everyone is cautious about treating at 3 for an extended time! |

I was told by Tria's customer service that 5 days a week for 12 weeks is the treatment protocol that was approved by FDA.
Canada's treatment protocol did not change, it is still every day for 8 weeks. |

| Good thing I read this! I was using 7 days a week. It's probably good to give 2 days off. I wonder if I should do 2 days in a row off, or take a day off midweek and another on the weekend? |

| I usually took one day at a time off but sometimes it was two in a row. I don't think it really matters, you will see results which ever way you do it. When I started the protocol was every day for 8 wks. but I took a couple of days off a wk. just because I seemed to need that break and I was happy with my results. |

| I am now up to 1 1/2 minutes on level 3. My skin seems to be adjusting fine so I might try 2 minutes on level 3. As long as I'm not still red the next day when I start another treatment I will keep using it at that level. I've been using it for about two weeks so I feel good with my progress. I find it a lot easier to glide over the face after waiting 5" until my face is completely dry after washing it. Has anyone considered if this treatment is any better than just using Retin A? It seems they both exfoliate the face and increase collagen production. |

I consider the laser better at removing hyperpigmentation but I still wouldn't stop using Retin A.
After my third set of treatments with the Tria my skin looked kind of stressed so I'm going to take a good long break from it now. |

How is everyone doing?
I ordered Tria from Sephora and did a total of 14 treatments (every day).
The first treatment I did on level one. Three treatments on level two and the rest on level three.
While treating my face, I am also treating my nose and under chin area. Separately, I treat my hands.
I don't use Tria's products. I use my regular cleanser with Foreo Luna. After the treatment, I spray the treated areas with Avene thermal spring water and apply Luzern Calm and Rehydrate Absolut serums. After this, I spray my face with Valmont Nature Priming Hydrating Fluid.
In the morning I apply Luzern Rehydrate serum Absolut followed by Valmont 24 hour prime. I also do Valmont mask once a week and sometimes apply rosehip or sea buckthorn oil. As a toner I am using rose hydrosol. With these products my skin is in a decent condition and not too dry.
Tria did not aggravate my rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis. I treat my rosacea with Finacea two times a week. As a treatment for seborrheic dermatitis I apply Promiseb twice a day.
It is too early to tell if Tria is working for me. Before starting the treatment, I took closed up pictures. I plan to take another set of pictures after four weeks of treatment and one more after eight weeks. I am following Canada's protocol by doing treatments every day for eight weeks. |

My skin has gotten use to the tria and doesn't hurt very much after the treatments. I went up to level 3 for two minutes each and sometimes I can go the whole time until the beep sounds. It only stings a little bit afterwards and even that doesn't last very long anymore, it's quite tolerable.
I use their products because it came with them but I will use my own products when they run out. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and I notice my face feels rough, but no flaking yet. It's too soon to tell anything else.
I make sure to clean the window after using it because of what I read on this forum about it getting dirty, not letting the laser light come through. |

Tria is sending me a new charger as mine seems to be temperamental. The light keeps flashing and it's not getting a full charge. I read where others on this forum have had the same problem with the charger. Tria is aware of this and is working on a fix.
I'm now up to the full time on level 3. My face is completely used to it now and it doesn't bother me at all. I did wonder though why some days I hardly feel it on my skin and other days it feels really hot. I clean the window after each use so I know it's not that. It must be my skin. I'm still waiting to see a noticeable improvement. |

I sent mine back to Tria a week or so ago. I was having the same trouble as a lot of you. It didn't seem to hold a charge. At first, the blue battery light would stay on, but the unit would function. Then, slowly, it began to run out of charge after 10 minutes. Then 5 minutes. Then 3 minutes. Finally, it just didn't work at all. I was told my replacement was on its way.
My question to all of you is: I was only able to use my Tria for 2 weeks on the 2 setting. when I get my new one, should I just start at the beginning again? |

I hope it's not the main unit on mine that's faulty. I guess if I have the same problem again I will know.
What level you restart at would depend on how long it takes to get a new one. My face is used to level 3 now but it took almost a month before I could use it fairly comfortably on that level. If I didn't use mine for a week or so I would back off a bit and try level two first to see how my face handled it. Everyones skin is different, I read where some peoples faces are still bright red the next day. The redness I get doesn't last more than a few hours. |

Mine seemed to be having a weird issue where it wasnt charging fully and would only last 1.5 treatments before it died, but the problem seems to be gone, I've charged it a few times since it was giving me issues, and it's been working great. I'll keep an eye on it.
Again, I love how I can use this thing an hour before going into work, and people have no idea. Doesn't leave long lasting redness. I use my Tria 3-4 days a week, I feel my skin responds better if I give it extra healing time. |

The entire shopping channel site is 27% off to celebrate their 27 birthday.
I purchased the Tria for $361.35 plus tax. The discount code is BIRTHDAY27. The code is good until February 28 at 9:59 pm.
Just a heads up

| Do you know if this sale price is available for shoppers in the US? I was just about to order one from Tria but 27% off sure sounds good. Thanks. |

| Can't believe I could've saved $150 with that Shopping Channel discount!! Guess that's how life is, lol. Oh well, it's worth the $500. I haven't picked up my ReAura since I got my Tria. Might have to pay it a visit after I'm done with Tria treatments. I can't imagine what at-home skin care devices we will have in a matter of 10 years. |

| I am new to this forum and it is so informative and interesting. I recently bought the Tria skin reju laser. I have been using it on level two for a few treatments for as long as I can stand it. I think that I read that the intensity at level 2 is 10 (whatever it is called) For 1 min. Then intensity for 3 is 12? For 2.5 mins. Some of you girls are tough!! The level two makes me want to say bad words, and I am scared of the level three. Is the intensity/pain of the laser much worse at three or is it just the much longer time? Also, what kind of improvements have you achieved on your neck and chest? |

I read that too about level 2 being 10 and level 3 being 12, a kind of intensity rating perhaps. In my personal opinion I think level 3 is similar to level 2 in intensity, it's just for a longer time. That's why I started out on level 3 with short blocks of time until I could work up to the full amount of time recommended. Don't worry, your skin starts to adjust to it and it doesn't hurt as much. I can do level 3 now with no problem. Like you, when I started I thought level 2 was bad! I haven't done my neck and chest but I think others have. |
