Does anyone suffer from seborrhea here?
What do you use that works? My seborrhea causes dark lines around my mouth, which turn to redness, and some flaking. Sometimes they fade but usually return. I'd like to go without concealer one day.
Any tips? Thanks. |

I have a bad patch of seborrhea between my eyebrows. It makes my pores look huge and also gave me lots of horizontal lines. I haven't found any miracle cure yet so I just have to live with it |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
It seems mine is getting worse. The lines are darkening and this a.m. the flaking was horrendous. People must've thought I grew a white fuzzy beard!
I've used Elidel with limited success. Anyone know of anything else to use on the face to reduce the hyperpigmentation and flaking of seborrhea? Thanks!

Hi - I take care of my eldest brother (cerebral palsy) who suffers from seborrheic dermatitis on his scalp, eyebrows, and even around his nose and mouth a bit too. I've tried prescription shampoos and many many other kinds. What has really helped alleviate it (but not totally get rid of it) is tea tree oil mixed in with the regular shampoo I use on his hair. I haven't used it around his nose or mouth because it seems that since his scalp has cleared up, the problem on his face isn't as bad. Maybe some of the shampoo's getting on his face and that's why. I'm not sure if this will work on your faces or not, but I can tell you it has really helped his scalp. I should mention that it smells very piney. |
