Hm, this sounds too good to be true. They look really silly too...does anyone wear them/heard about these? Are they that obvious? I dunno if I could pull those puppies off.

Never seen those before. Are they suppose to be more "modern" orthotics?

Hi vonstella--i first saw this in a bliss spa catalogue sent to me. from what i read, they are supposed to help with cellulite reduction and slim and tone the legs. the awkward shape of the sole, slightly curved, is supposed to make you work harder when walking.

i guess they would work, but for that much money, i bet a good hour of aerobics and cardio would do more to benefit cellulite and slim and tone the legs.

oh i want those! they are suppost to help tone up your legs and help correct your posture.. i heard its like walking on sand, how you have to keep stabilizing yourself so it activly engages your muscles while you walk (thus the toning part). but they are VERY expensive, $300 canadian!

They sell them at Bliss also:

http://www.blissworld.com/shop/detail/MBT-19.0065/303/

They are supposed to help reduce cellulite and tone your legs.

A friend of mine was down here about a month ago with the sandals. I tried them on. They don't feel all that odd but I didn't get to walk very far in them. I'll have to ask her if she's been wearing them much and if she's seen any results.

I have seen some generic brand similar thing here but now I cannot remember where or how much. They are funky. I want some for going out for a nightly walk!

If I were to put those on, I can bet anyone that I would be standing there and rocking back and fourth (easily ammused, no?! Laughing ).

I agree with you skincareaddicted, a good hour on some leg machines and such and you'll have the same result and $300 in your pocket!

Alright - I'm one of those who have bought them and used them for a year.
I am now back in my Addidas (a lot cheaper).

I did not lose any cellulite and I certainly did not look like an Massai warrior striding aroud in them.

If you do get them make sure that you get a few lessons in how to walk in them as you can give yourself an injury if you walk incorrectly in them.
Also, never bend your feet in them or you can crack them.

They sure look funky. But I am not sure that I can walk in them. As my feet roll inwards, I might just fall flat on my face or get a really bad sprain Shock

Sorry Emma that you wasted such a lot of money on them Sad

Vonstella - Glad you like the site. I really do love their stuff. But, as I said, try to buy from the Sale section if you can. It's so much cheaper!

I got MBT's as a gift a couple of years ago. I still wear my saucony shoes for running and would probably break my neck if I tried running in the MBT's, but I really do love them. I find the cellulite busting claim to be preposterous, but they are super butt lifters !

I saw these in Bliss World catalogue a couple of years ago & have been facinated by them ever since. If anyone gets them, I'd love to hear if there are "butt-lifting" from the shoes.

If you gals are seriously interested in building a purdy butt, you should check out the David Kirsch One on One Butt and Thigh dvd. I find all his workouts to be fun and very effective.

My sister had an absolute pancake butt (and remind me to NEVER tell her to come to this site.... Laughing ). I gave her a copy of the dvd and she was really happy with her results. I should make clear though that she really worked out !
