Hi there -- just wondering what anyone knows about exposing Skinceuticals (serum 15, hydra 5 b, eye gel and renew overnight) to the cold. I got my wonderful EDS package today and the package sat in my mailbox for 2-3 hours and it was 27 degrees. I thought I'd be home when it arrived...nothing is frozen...
I know it's bad to expose it to heat - what about cold? Keeping my fingers crossed - was so excited to open my yummy package!

zazu, I think it will be fine. As long as you do not expose the products into extreme cold and extreme hot environment frequently. Hope you enjoy the new products. Smile

zazu, VitaminC is not that sensitive to low temperature. It is much more sensitive to direct sunlight and extreme heat. Nothing could possibly happen to your products due to that short exposure to cold. They could only get denser when they are cold which is OK. Some people are even keeping Vit C products in the fridge Smile

Thanks so much for the reassurance. I feel stupid because I now remember reading the discussion about people storing Vit-C in the fridge. I must have been so excited for my EDS delivery that I wasn't thinking straight! Surprised

Hi Zazu,

I know what that feels like! When my EDS package arrived I couldn't wait to get it opened, it's like Christmas all over again!!Very Happy

I hope you review the Skinceuticals Vit-C system, love to find out how your skin responds to it as I am thinking of getting the exact group of products you've got in your hands. Wink I'm using the Skinceuticals Ultimate UV Defense SPF 30 already and love it.... which sunscreen will you be using over the top of the Vit-C products?

Enjoy and stay warm,

Summertimegirl Wink

summertime girl - yes! I raced into the house and ripped off the tape with all of my might! Smile

I'll look forward to doing some reviewing of the system I'm using! I haven't used this sort of thing in a while - last used cellex around a year ago and then fell off the wagon for a while. Let me tell you that my face was so happy today with that familiar tight tingle that can only come from a vit-c serum! I was so torn between the serum 15 and the C+E. Anyway, I had a memory today of the first time I used cellex, around 5 years ago. If I remember correctly, I seemed to develop a slight orange tinge in the eye area. I wonder if that's because I was using the serum and not a separate eye gel, as I am now. Will be delighted to keep you posted.

Am also happy to inform you briefly about the sunscreen I'm using. It's called Phyoderm Max. It provides good protection, but leaves a slight white film that sort of congeals a bit in spots. I'll put it on, and later look in the mirror and notice that there are "streaks" of it around the sides of my face and jawline. Is the skinceuticals SPF you are using the sunscreen or the sunblock? I keep getting the names mixed up. I'm going to get the new sunblock they have that manages to avoid the "white mask" look!
