Hi everyone!
I have been reading the posts here for quite a while and learning everything I can about eye treatment. I am 28 years old and have found that especially in the past 2 years my undereye area just keeps getting puffier. Little bags are forming. I think I have heard that sometimes this can be untreatable, but I am reallly hoping for some solutions here. Honestly, I would rather have some laugh lines under my eyes than this.
I got a sample of the Juvena Juvedical eye serum and have been using it for two (maybe three) weeks, but I don't think it is making any difference. I generally keep myself quite healthy...lots of water, good diet, supplements, etc.
Can anyone recommend something that actually could actually help? I have been searching the archives, but these products are all so new to me. It can get confusing.
Thank you so much!

Juvedical Renewing Eye Serum helped my Puffy eyes not eye bag or dark circle.
I'm still searching for the one helps eye bags BUT I don't think any eye cream will help much once the eye bags are there. I'll be happy if I could find one that can MAINTAIN my current condition!! |

I have the same problem, and nothing that I use helps. I actually bought the Juvena Juvedical eye serum and have been using it for a month, and I also don't think that it made any difference. |

Have you tried preperation-h? That's what I use when I notice bags. I also read on here a spa trick about using some plain old knox gelatin and mixing it with water and letting that sit for about ten minutes... you'd have to do a search for it on this board since I'm not sure exactly what thread it was from. |

The company that finds a treatment to eat up those fat deposits (bags) under the eyes will make tons of money. I know Prep H works to deflat my bags but hear that you should only use VERY occasionally. I know Juvena worked for sharky. I am waiting for an EDS order. I asked for samples. |

Caffeine is great for puffy eyes. Get some anhydrous caffeine powder and disolve it in a little distilled water. You could mix this with some Haylauronic Acid 1% solution to make a great eye serum for puffy eyes. If you do a google search for Cell-Ox2, you will see a link to a post on the SoapDish Forum about this topic. Some say they are getting great results for this problem.HTH |

Thanks for your feedback, ladies!
I used to do the Prep H daily and after a while that didn't seem to do much. I even ordered the stuff from Canada.
I have never tried the Knox trick. Has that worked for anyone?
Anymore tricks? |

The CURE to puffy eyes (of which I suffer) is...
DO NOT DRINK WATER AT LEAST ONE HOUR BEFORE BEDTIME, PREFERABLY TWO HOURS IF YOU *REALLY* WANT NO BAGS.
ALSO, WORK OUT LIKE A MADWOMAN (I've noticed that lots of circulation to the face corrects them somewhat, especially on a regular basis--but the no water before bedtime rule is KEY).
I *promise you*, these two simple things will get rid of your bags. Also, drink green tea throughout the day.
They are hereditary, but I've been prone to them my entire life, and this is the only thing that has helped--I've tried serums and creams galore!
Also, heavy eye creams at night seem to exacerbate them. And, make sure that your allergies are under control. Naso-cort is wonderful for allergy symptoms.
I heard that PSF's cranberry phyto gel is supposed to be good, but anything that aims to constrict that area can't be good for your undereye area, since it will inevitably dry it out but good and give you those fine lines you'd rather have.
Also, Osea's "Eyes and Lips" is a great firming eye cream that leaves your undereye area toned but with an addictively-satiny feel and look. This helps when I mistakenly drink water in my sleep and wake up with those tell-tale bags.
Basically, I try to drink a lot of water throughout the day, and 2 glasses of water with lemon first thing in the morning, which curbs my desire to drink it in the middle of the night.
Let us know how it works!
Best,

Avalange,
Thank you for the suggestions! I will definitely try them. I do work about hard about four times a week and I do drink a lot of water. No water for an hour or two before bed is surely something I can try.
I'll also try the Osea's product that you mentioned. It sounds like you don't use it every day, though. Am I right?

Shawna,
I do use it every day, I keep it with me when I go out and reapply it if need be... But it is very moisturizing, I just habitually apply creams to my face throughout the day.
let us know how the no h2o before bedtime works!

Perhaps I was lucky with the Juvedical eye products but they did work for me. Within a week, the puffiness had gone but it was 3 to 4 months before the bags had gone and I did use both the eye serum and the eye cream morning and night with no other eye product. I used the serum all over my eyes and only a small amount of the cream very lightly on the bottom orbital bone to the outer corner over the creases.
I believe the results will only come long term. |

I also have good results with the Juvedical Eye Serum. MACrisis was nice enough to send me a sample of this and I bought a full size shortly after. I do know yet know exactly what this does for me but I have noticed that it depuffs well in the morning if I have a late night. |

Shawna, puffy eyes are either lose skin or fatty deposits gone crazy under the eye, or both. Yes, its true, this condition is usually worse in the morning since the liquid accumulates while laying down.
Large fatty deposits under the eye can only be taken care of by having the fat removed through laser surgery.
Some people have had success using Retin-a .025 around the eye area but this may take some time and if you have severe eye bags than the Retin-a is usually prescribed after the surgery is done to help firm up the skin surrounding the eyes.
Since I don't have a pic of your eyes here, I would consult with a good laser skin surgeon before wasting your money on a bunch of topical treatments. They will help you determine if your condition requires surgery or not. |

Yay, thanks for finding the post, Mabsy!
Gaga-googoo, I can't say that the bags/puffiness is too bad right now. I am 28 years old and have begun to notice them even more, so I want to try to 'nip this in the bud' before it progresses too much.
Bushy, I think you might be right about getting results from long-term use. I was only really using the serum for a few weeks but should probably give it some more time. I might even throw in the cream to help with the fine lines...which the serum doesn't seem to touch.
Thanks, ladies! |

I got a sample of MD formulations moisture defense for under eyes. I tried it out and works really nice. It really decreases puffyness. I'm wondering if this product is re-usable. Does anybody know if i can use it more than 1 time? |

My daughter is 20 years old and she has a bit of dark puffy eyebags. Now I can let her know these tricks about getting rid of the puffiness. How about getting rid of the dark circle? She is turning to concealer right now. Is there any cream that you will recommend so that she can get rid of the dark circles permanently? I know asking her to get more sleep will definitely help, but anything else?
This definitely is not genetic. I'm 35 years older but I rarely have dark circles under my eyes. |
