All I know is that the Green (Rise) is for normal/combo, and the Pink (Vital Rich) is for dry skin. It's a suncreen/moisturizer in one.
I've been wanting to try Sofina, but cannot find the ingredients... I finally found the ingredients but dont know percentages:
ZINC OXIDE
ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE
DIMETHICONE
WATER
CYCLOMETHICONE
ALCOHOL
LAURYL METHACRYLATE/GLYCOL DIMETHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER
TALC
PERFLUOROHEXYLETHYL DIMETHYLBUTYL ETHER
GLYCERIN
PEG-12 DIMETHICONE
TITANIUM DIOXIDE
EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS LEAF EXTRACT
THUJOPSIS DOLABRATA EXTRACT
CETY-PG HYDROXYETHYL PALMITAMIDE
BIS-METHOXYPROPYLAMIDO ISODOCOSANE
BUTYLENE GLYCOL
CERAMIDE 2
HYDROXYETHYL ISOSTEARYLOXY ISOPROPANOLAMINE
HYDROXYUNDECANOIC ACID
POLYSILICONE-9
METHICONE

Any one tried Sofina yet? Do you think it is photostable? |

Thank You!!!!
I have been looking for this information everywhere! Is this for the Green one or the Pink one? I think that this is photostable. I really want to try the Sofina sunscreen but I don't know where to get it in the US. (There are a few places were I can find it but I would not trust that it would be fresh or the real thing). I was also reluctant to try something without seeing the ingredients. CK is always posting great things about Sofina and everytime I read one of her posts it makes me want to try this stuff even more! |

I want to try Sofina too but Ebay seems to be the only place I could purchase it. Don't know where if it's available in Canada. |

I'm using the Very Very one (also in green),it's for oily skin and someone told me that it's for 25 years old and younger skin.
I don't know about the ingredients .. but I bought it because I tried the sample and really like it.
tidieu ~ I know some places that sell Sofina, but they are very expensive comparing to the regular price so I think it's better to order them online or try Ebay. |

Thanks Christine! I am looking for a sunscreen that has good UVB/UVA protection, feels light and does not make me look like an oil slick. I hope Sofina is the right one for me. |

I love Sofina cut milk SPF24 a lot. I bought my second one without used up the first bottle. The reason I like it much is because it has a watery texture, very very easy to apply on the skin. Besides, it seems to be aborb fast into the skin, and also it is completely matte.
I don't know where to get one in Canada and so I bought the Avene Sunscreen lotion with SPF50 instead. Compared with Sofina, I don't like the texture, it seems to be too heavy and make my skin shinny. I definitely will go back to Sofina although it does not have enough SPF that I want. |

Oh...by the way, the one I bought is in Green Cap as well (for normal to Oily skin) and I used it over my moisturizer. I didn't try the pink one although I'm over 25...hehe |

I got a sample of the Green cap It's sooo smooth becoz of all the cones in it. It is quite runny. (LIKE LRP). But less whitey. It is ok It's like Sun Killer Daily Uv Gel but runnier
But I prefer LRP, since they have the same consistency.
HTH to all those who want to try and are contemplating between this or LRP. |

DIMETHICONE
CYCLOMETHICONE
PEG-12 DIMETHICONE
I'm not really sensitive to cones (but my hair is! I avoid them in conditioners!!!). But our skins can tolerate them since they slough off and does not build up. However, if you are allergic/or sensitive, I suggest you use less something that does not have CONES in the top ingredients |

Ocha, have you ever tried Sofina Perfect UV? It has SPF50 and though it is less runny than UV Cut Milk, it gives a matte (and somewhat "powdery" feeling) finish (even more so than Cut Milk) and never feels heavy despite the higher SPF. |

One more thing to add, Perfect UV is double in size (60ml) and costs less than UV Cut Milk. I'm using it on both my face and body. |

Ocha- Where do you buy your Sofina sunscreens?
joziegrozy- Which LRP are you comparing to Sofina? What made you prefer LRP to Sofina? I am trying to decide which one to get. I have oily skin and, all the sunscreens that I tried so far made me look shiny, gave me lots of clogged pores and blackheads. |

I have LRP Anthelios Fluide Extreme and Dermo Pediatrics, UVIDEA XL. The Sofina is like the UVIDEA XL, runny, but silkier coz of the cones. One difference though, the Sofina does get matt after a while, still a tad shine but matt feel. The LRP goes shiny for long and by mid day I use oil blotting paper. I am normal/dry skin, so I don't mind the oil. Both do not break me out.
I also have Avene Creme + anti oxidant, this one is like the UV Rise, thicker and with scent. I got samples from the nice ladies in SOGO here in Japan. (cute small bottles!)
You should try first before you buy, since they are quite pricey for sunblocks. The Sofina is like Sunkiller but runnier. I prefer the LRP coz for the same price I am already an LRP fan, if I wanted the coney feeling, I'd go with my cheaper sunkiller various products (daily UV gel, powder milk, clear water). (oh yes I am a sunblock/sunscreen junkie).
Do samples first, and see also what you prefer HTH |

Thanks joziegrozy! It would be great if I could try samples but I can't because they are not available in Canada. I have oily skin so LRP might be too shiny/oily for me if it's shiny for you. |

Oh! you're in Canada...
Check out also Dermo Pediatrics (not so oily), and Avene (smells so feminine) (not so oily).
I'm favoring this now since I do not get soo much sun exposure anyways, and it would do my skin some rest away from too much chemical sun protection. They don't have white cast and they feel light to me in comparison to oily Anthelios. But if I were to go to the beach, Anthelios is my Best friend |
