We actually had sunshine here in the UK yeasyerday and for some stupid unknown reason I never applied sunscreen to my legs.
As a result I had burnt, red legs last night, so I smothered them in aloe vera gel and then wrapped them in cling film.
This morning, WOW I what a difference, the cling film had not covered my knee area, the knee area was still sore and red but the rest of my leg which had been covered and kept moist by the cling film had more or less returned to normal colour. |

Yes aloe vera is very good for burns. The native americans used aloe (they broke off one of the thick leaves) and rubbed the goo straight on a burn. It not only works for sunburn but also for other burns such as from baking and such.
Glad to hear that your burn looks better now. |

Rosebud, you simply can't tell us that you wrapped yourself in cellophane over night and not post pictures.
Seriously, though, great idea. My esthetician's office applies cellophane to areas after applying numbing cream to increase absorption. You are a keen gal! |

I did look a bit of a sight!!
I put on a pair of thin pajama bottoms, so the cling film stayed in place all night!
I have used this method before after I have burnt myself in the kitchen cooking and it worked well then too. |
