Has anyone used these products to even skin tone, and if so do they work and how long do they take to work? |

I have convinced my mom to order the "White" line since she has some age spots that she whines about but does nothing to improve! So I got her a $10 coupon and that sealed the deal. I will post back on how she does! |

Hi rileygirl,
I have used the alpha arbutin series--lotion, milk, cream, whitening mask, and the powder. if you're looking to achieve a more luminous complexion, then this is for you. i remember a month after using it, friends and relatives were saying my skin looked glowy. as for removing freckles, i have heard this does not work (you would definitely need something stronger). i didn't really have freckles back then so i can't say for sure, but now that 2 very light ones have developed on the left side of my face (from driving in traffic ), i ordered the alpha arbutin powder about 2 months ago. i am not using it in conjunction with the other alpha arbutin products (except the mask) and so far it doesn't seem to do much for the spots. it gives me comfort to apply it since the powder dissolves right on the skin and releases a cooling sensation, but i doubt i would purchase it again. i was thinking of trying pola's whitissimo set, kanebo faircrea or SKII for whitening. if you do want to try the set, dhc sells the whole deal as a special set and you definitely save money. the mask is definitely a favorite of mine though. hope this helps! |

Thanks skincareaddicted. I did not get this as I was afraid it was not strong enough, so it sounds like I made the right decision! It is nice to know about the luminous part though. Maybe I will try this after I get my hyperpigmentation issues corrected! |

rileygirl--you know what might work for lightening freckles? skinceuticals phyto corrective gel. i got this for my mom for her rosacea and i was reading the reviews on makeupalley.com and a lot of users there say the stuff lightens their spots significantly. the phyto gel got a 80% rating which is awesome for a lightener product. you can read it here: http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemID=27414/Phyto_Corrective_Gel/Skinceuticals/Treatments/
my sister has some freckles from the sun, and i am having her use this and i myself am applying this to the two very light spots i got recently, and i will keep you posted on the results. hope this works |
