There is a book recently published by Akemi Sone who is a make-up artist, Kimono instructor, and flower designer as well, what a multi-talented lady...
She introduces a mizu-hada patting method in her book which I have not read yet, but it's quite simple to follow. "Misu" means "Water" in Japanese. This method supposed to give us an instant firming effect, improvement of aging spot and wrincles. I'm supprised to find that there are quite many women following this method, so I recently started it too, so I wanted to share it with you. I try my best to explain, you know my English is not so good...

All you need is a bowl with water, ice and cotton pad or any kind of pad or puff you have. It is recommended to do it in the morning before make-up, but I think I can do it anytime I'm avalable.

Starting from cheeks, chin, forehed, and nose, you simply pat these areas with chilld pad (that soaked in the bowl) for 20 minutes. While I'm doing it, my fingers are getiing pretty cold and numb, but skin gets hotter. It causes probably because of blood circulation? The skin also gets little reddish, but it will dissapear very soon but leaves such a grow.. After patting, you follow your reguler routin, toner, serum, cream, etc..

I'm sure many of you say, I can't spend 20 minutes for just patting my face in the morning, then try it in the evening, after bath or shower. Thank god I work at home, so I can spare 20 minutes doing this excersice which still not easy for me to do so....

IMO, after following this method for 3 days, I definitedly see my face line seems to be more shapened and the ugly pores seems to be smaller than a day before, and finally my foundation (I use powder) goes smmother on my face.

I think it's worth to try for everyone. It won't cost you nothing, but time...

Thanks for the tips! This really makes sense as we all know the theory of condensation so ice water would help. Just wondering would it be too cold for me in Canadian winters (I HATE the cold Mad )

Canadian water must be much easier on your skin than city water, I guess... In winter time, maybe I wear one of those latex gloves, what do you think?
