Now it's called a gel, but I purchased this recently and it's more like a liquid or serum. The first few pumps were kind of orange but after that it's a clear water-like liquid. (I know those vitamin C products sometimes discolour from oxidisation or whatever.)
Am wondering if I got old stock or it's been stored in a hot environment?
Has anybody else tried this? Is it supposed to be a gel or liquid? |

I just started using this and mine is clear and serum/oil like. I've only used it a few times so I'm not sure how consistent this is. I will update once I use this for a while. |

Appletini, I also found this very hard to understand, but many companies call their Vit C products a gel and they are just like water or very slightly thick water. It annoyed me as the watery ones are very hard to apply and a good percentage is wasted. Even some that are described as serums are like water. I just don't buy them anymore. |

Thanks for the feedback.
The product I have is definitely more like water/oily consistency. I probably wouldn't have thought much about it, except I got it at a reduced price so was wondering if it was defective in some way.
At least I know it's OK then, but I still can't understand how anybody could describe this as a gel. |

Ok, I did some experimenting with this today and I think this needs to be shaken first before it's pumped out. I know the instructions don't say this but when I shook it first I pumped out a yellowy liquid which was much better in texture (i.e. not just clear light oil) and it went on much better on the skin. It seems like perhaps it's separating in the bottle? Not sure.
MACrisis - no. I am stubborn and continue to use my vitamin C serums in the morning The only one I use at night is the Emergin C one because the texture is just too oily for me for day use... |

After reading Mabsy's comment, I gave it a VERY vigourous shaking.
Not really any noticeable difference to me.
I'll keep using it anyway. |
