After cleansing during nights, we sometimes put Tissue Mask for about 20 to 30 minutes, right?
My question is after take off the mask, do we need to follow with toner and night cream? Or we can just take off the tissue mask and go to sleep?
I was advised to wash my face with water, tap with fingers, then follow with toner and night cream.
Mind to share with me how you guys do with the tissue masks?
Thanks! |

I'm assuming that by tissue masks you mean SHEET masks and not tissue-OFF masks.
I would probably follow with a toner as I follow ALL my masks/peels with toner. I don't generally use these types of masks as I like substance and I feel like I'm putting something on my face and that it's absorbing than just putting on a sheet which I can never be sure if it has anything on (a psychological thing I guess).
Maybe someone who uses these masks more can give you better advice. |

Hi, Sormuimui, thanks for your post.
I mean tissue mask like Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask (just an example) where in a box, we normally have 5 or 10 sheets or pieces. We use 1 sheet once.
Any suggestion, please? |

I use the sheet mask from Olay, Fancl House, Missha and Neutrogena as well. I looked thru the direction from the packages and they all said no need to wash off after use.
here's the direction on the box of Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask:
Use twice a week after cleansing. Open pack, take out the mask and unfold. Press lightly with fingertips to set in place over face. Relax for 15 mins and remove mask. Massage any remaining fluid into skin. Discard mask after use
Just let the fluid sinks into the skin. I don't even apply the toner and just put on the serum and moisturizer right after. HTH |

check check check the ingredients!! I bought one of these kind of mask from RoC (Hydra + Destressant) used it without rinsing off (as per instructions) and awoke with a HUGE zit!!!
When I looked at the ingredients (which were listed in Japanese so I did not look carefully in the shop).. one is "myristic acid isopropyl" a classic pore cloggger. BAH. |

Hi, Tiger_tim (a great name and I like this name ), thanks for your post.
That's mean it depends on the mask ingredient. I dont have much knowldege on that.
What I know:
Some masks have the ingredient of anti-sensitive and some are not. For normal skin type, it was advised to take off the mask, followed with toner and your night cream. As in my case, I have sensitive skin type, so they advised me to take off the mask, wash off with water, followed with toner and night cream.
I was told that some people tend to leave the tissue mask overnight. This will lead to dry skin in long term. So, I think it is better not to do like this. |

I would definitely go with the directions on the package for tissue masks. Some may well be designed not to be washed off but perhaps some exfoliating ones should be washed off.
I don't do tissue masks often (although I do have a couple of SKII that I am really looking forward to using) but I do have some of those DIY tissue masks where you have the tissue mask (dry) compressed in pill form and it expends when you pour something over it (like say Kose Medicated something something... ). I do those sometimes with the Kose liquid and I don't rinse off. |

I think it depends on what kind of mask you use. I don't really "wash" my face afterwards because then I would feel like I didn't do anything at all. I usually take off the mask, then gently pat my face a little, then use warm face cloth press to my face to get off the eccess serum. then I proceed to toner and cream |
