Is the cleanser effective at removing sunscreen and dirt/oil? I have a terrible problem finding a cleanser that is gentle but effective. Any thoughts? |

I recently bought this cleanser (Pevonia Ligne Rose RS2 Gentle Cleanser) and have been finding that it is gentle as it removes make-up from my often sensitive skin with very little effort on my part.
This cleanser is white with a thin creamy consistency and is dispensed in a pump-style plastic container that seems a good size at 6.8 fl oz. (They must have changed their packaging at some point as the container I received looks like the lovely one from the group shot on the EDS Pevonia intro page but with pink rather than green: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/pevonia-skin-care-products.htm versus the product shot on the product page.) I have to admit I am not crazy about the scent--it's a floral-ish kind of smell--but I don't hate it either.
I am used to gel cleansers and find they spread easily on a dry face, so initially, I didn't think this cream cleanser spread very well--I felt as if I had to apply "more", if you know what I mean, to get some slip. However, once I wet my fingertips, it had plenty of slip and was so easy to work all over the face/eye areas. It also rinses off with ease and effortlessly removes mineral make-up and even mascara without any pulling, tugging or residual (mascara/eyeliner) smudges after rinsing. I was all excited because I had bought the Decleor Eye Makeup Remover at the same time, but I've not had a need to use it since using this cleanser.
Here are the ingredients from the back of the bottle:
Water (Aqua), Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids - Avena Sativa (Oat), Glyceryl Stearate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Allantoin, Boswellia Carterii (Olibanum) Extract, Rosa Gallica (French Rose) Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
I highly recommend this cleanser. |

It is working well for me. I don't have overly dirty skin at the moment. I'm not exercising and about the most time I spend outside is the 30 seconds too and from the car. (working wayyy to much) I don't use heavy sunscreens either. Opting for moisturizers and makeups that contain sunscreen. After I cleanse, I use the toner and the cotton pad is clean so I am assuming the cleanser is doing its thing. |

Havana8, thanks for posting the ingredients.
Do you guys find that it leaves a film or any oily/greasy feel on the skin? I have used cleansers with safflower oil and they did not feel very good. |
