Hi ladies! As you know I started differin a few weeks ago and things have been going fine (no irritation or peeling). A local spa/salon has a special going on for microdermabrasion right now and I was thinking of going in--- has anyone else on differin or some other cream like renova, retin-a etc ever done microderm? How was it? TIA! |

I use Retin-A with Obagi and do monthly microderms without any problems. I mix the Retin-A with a blender though, so it's probably not as concentrated. |

I had a microderm done at my dermatologists and will never have another one!!!! Irritation wise I had no problems even though as you know I have very sensitive skin and am using Differin. However, the microderm caused the worse outbreak of acne that I ever had. I had read that those of us with sensitive, acne prone skin should not have microderms because it can worsen acne but when I mentioned this to my derm he said that it should be okay. Well he was wrong! I know that it was the microderm that caused the acne outbreak and not something else. If you search the forum you will also find that others have had similar reactions. Does it happen to everyone with our skin type? Maybe not. But it is definetly something to consider. |
