I have naturally curly hair but would like to purchase a pair of curling tongs to define the curls when they go a bit flat. Have read about ceramic ones being kinder to hair. Does anyone have any recs or advice? |

I highly recommend that you invest in a nice ceramic one. I used to use a metal iron and my hair was always splitting and dry. Now that I have ceramic I've noticed a drastic improvement. I've heard that for any hair styling device, ceramic is better.
The results are nicer too-since ceramic gets hotter (and faster). No need to work on the same section of hair over and over again (therefore, less damage).
Hot Tools is supposed to be good, although I've never tried them. I use a ceramix iron and it's a great brand too. |

I too have naturally curly hair and find that ceramic works better, in the sense that it works more quickly than metal, and I think that the less amount of time with a styling tool on hair, the less amount of damage. Ceramic also seems to smooth the hair better. |
