I like to dabble in the slot machines now and then...not too big of a spender because I'm just not lucky at all!! My dad just told me he was at this casino we go to once in awhile, and someone just won a $400,000 progressive with only putting in $12.00 ! Geeze, everytime I go to that casino I try that darn progressive...Oh why couldn't it be me??
I think the most I ever won was $1000.00 on a VLT...that was pretty nice! Anyone else have any good luck stories or been around someone who has been lucky enough to win a fortune at the casino? |

Not me, I've only gambled once and walked away with $200. I was at the roulette table. |

$1000 is still quite a jackpot!
My fiance likes to play poker & blackjack so I usually play the slots while he's playing. I the Wheel of Fortune machines!
Last year when we were in Las Vegas he came over to play the slots with me after playing blackjack(where I'd been for maybe 10 mins), but I'm not a smoker and there was a woman sitting right next to me who was smoking. It was making me feel nauseous, so I wanted to move to an empty machine about 10 feet down & he suggested that I stay. I didn't listen and I'M NOT EXAGGERATING, but a woman came up about 2 minutes after I left and she couldn't have played more than 3 pulls before hitting the progressive jackpot of $283,000.
He still makes fun of me for it to this day... |

My grandma lives about 1/2 hour from a casino. Years ago when my grandpa died, some of their kids started fighting over the inheritance. My grandma still has many years in her but they still made a huge deal about it. My grandma decided she wanted to die poor (she's not rich to begin with) and leave nothing for her kids so they'd stop fighting. So she took up gambling to try to entertain herself and she figured it'd be a sure fire way to lose money. Turns out she cannot lose. That woman sticks a quarter in any machine and chances are she'll walk away with $100. So, she has more money now and her kids are still fighting over it. But she's having fun.
My mom won $10,000 on a machine a few years ago. She was stuck in a dead end job in a tiny town that all our family had moved away from. So she took the money and moved across the country. Funny thing is she moved to Vegas, just the other side of town from me. As for me, luck for gambling wasn't passed down to me! |

Oh I LOVE gambling! Although I don't take to losing real well. I'm going to Vegas the weekend of Thanksgiving and I can't wait. The only table game I really play is roulette which I love and the odds are great, but I also LOVE an electronic slot called Texas Tea. I can play it for hours and usually come out even or a little bit ahead. I played the Wheel of Fortune one but it ate up my money too fast! |

I've played the texas tea slot too...its alot of fun, I love alot of the electronic slot machines, but they really sucker you in with that "bonus feature", and you can really spend alot on a 1 cent machine if you play max credits...have to be careful of that! |

Yep! It's that stupid "drilling for oil" that reels me in every time! They have a Texas Tina one now that's basically the same thing although with different bonuses. I think it's a bit tougher to make money off of it too. I always seem to have pretty decent luck at Texas Tea so I tend to stick to it. And nickels don't go as fast! |
