I was "browsing" in shoppers drug mart the other day (I that store) and I spotted Cover Fx mineral makeup and was wondering if anyone has tried it and if it would be suitable for sensitive skins? Here is the link to the product I am talking about:

i'm currently using it, but found it to be a lil dry, and hard to find the right color... the color i bought turned out to be too dark & yellow... try not to use the sponge applicator and use a brush instead for a more flawless & natural look. |

color selection is terrible. I think I am between an M20 and M40 and they just don't make an M30!! There is a huge gap between the 20 and 40. I also find it looks cakey and obvious. |

I got an advertisement for CoverFx and I wanted to know the ingredients. I am quite sensitive so I personally would avoid Bismuth. The response below:
"I have listed the ingredients in Mineral FX below for you, and it does
contain Bismuth Oxychloride. We consider this product to be sheer to
medium coverage depending upon how much coverage the consumer chooses to
build. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Active Ingredients:
Zinc Oxide 20%
Titanium Dioxide 20%
Ingredients:
Mica
Bismuth Oxychloride
Iron Oxide
Sodium Benzoate
Sodium Dehydroacetic Acid
Benzethonium Chloride
May Contain:
Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288)
Iron Oxide (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)"
This is about $35.00 in SDM. I would get colour matched and see if it is a good match for you. Personally I really like MMU and buying samples and think the small hand crafted companies are better. Most MMU sell samples at .35ea and up. Most are about $1.00 - $2.00.
Everyday Minerals send a free sample kit of 3 foundations, blush and finishing powder; you pay shipping. (I have purchased twice from them. I don't know if they have the Canadian shipping issue resolved.)
I recently purchased from Pure Luxe and have lots of great samples to try!
If you are interested in MMU vist Mineral Makeup Mania on delphi forums. You do need to register but it is free. They talk about all the brands of MMU. List of MMU (and other companies) are listed on the start page. Very nice ladies.
For a drugstore brand Physicans Formula has nice reviews. It is not a "true" MMU but a nice alternative and reasonable.
Anyhow I am rambling...but I love Minerals! |
