I've got sample of Vivier serum with kenetin C. I was excited to try it. I used it in the night but in the morning I've got acne. I really disappointed in it. |

How long have you been using it? Do you apply a lot on your skin? |

I didn't think blemishes erupted so quickly, I thought it took many days or them to come to the surface.
It's quite possible nickiegirl that is wasn't the Vivier serum that caused your acne the very next morning after using it. |

VMP40 that's great that you love the 20%.
I am currently using the Vivier 10% and Kine C and I love it, the texture is amazing!
I was also thinking that when I finish the bottle to go for the 20%.
Please update in a few weeks and let us know your progress with the 20%.
ETA:
VMP40 Do you find that the consistancy of the 20% is the same as the 10% with Kine C? |
Yes, the consistency of the two serums feels very similar to me. I am still loving both but will report back in a few weeks. |

How long should you use the 10% before changing to the 20%? I've only been using a 12% (I think) for a couple months but would like to try a 20%, but don't want to try too soon and have my skin not like it. |

Until I finish the bottle. It takes me almost over three months to finish 1 oz bottle. |

Is it really necessary to upgrade the %? I mean how much marginal benefit would be or whether our skin capable of absorb the higher % and not going waste? But I guess the price difference between 20% and 10% is not all that great either. |

I don't think so. I mean if you saw some of those before and after pics, you see better improvement with older skin or a lot of wrinkles, age spots.
With age, you should increase the % and I decided to go with the highest level, knowing studies did prove that vitamin C is effective and Vivier is recommended by skincare specialist. |

Hmmm, maybe since I'm only 35 and don't have any wrinkles, I better wait until I'm older to increase the percentage. Don't want my skin to get used to it and then not help me when I really need it to. |

I am a big fan of skincare products and through the years I have narrowed it down to a few products that work. This is one of them. I have a medium fair caucasion complexion and I use Proactiv for cleansing and spots, and Strivectin twice a day. I was worried about eliminating the exfoliant effect I used to get from Neutrogena Healthy Skin which doesn't seem to be sold anymore, so I tried Vivier 20 applied before bed and it makes all the difference.
Sounds like a lot of work, but I have skin that still breaks out occassionally even though I am seeing signs of aging. I have fine lines (no deep wrinkles) and can see that I am losing firmness in my skintone, but this combination seems to work. My philosophy is that a few wrinkles are fine and natural as we age, the key is radiant skin. This product addresses that issue - I am 36, and despite developing lines and some old acne scars, I am always mistaken for much younger and I believe it is because I maintain a healthy glow. Very good product and reasonably priced considering the alternatives. Highly recommended as long as you don't have very sensitive skin - and as the bottle gets older, it will turn your skin pink which makes me wary of wearing it during the day.
Also, I drink lots of water and eat lots of veggies and exercise, so I don't rely on beauty products alone to create any miracles, just to minimize some of the side effects of ageing... |

Hi Blue242, Welcome to the Forum!
I have tried a sample of the C+K serum and really like the texture and brightening effect.
Just wondering what is the difference between the 20% C Serum and the 10%+K ... decisions .. decisions !
Maybe someone who has tried both can give me an idea?? |

I received my Vit C 20% yesterday and used it for the first time today. For the past 3 years, I've used Vit C from DY and PSF, but never felt like I was seeing this "glow" everyone talks about nor did I notice any change in my pore size. I felt like I was in a routine / product rut, so I'm changing my routine and product lines.
I was a little leary of putting the Vivier on after I had it on my fingertips - it felt very slick. After applying it and waiting about 5 minutes or so, it had all absorbed into my skin and my skin felt very silky and smooth. I've been out all day shopping (someone please stop me!) and had to glance in every mirror I came across to see if I looked any different. I still don't quite understand the "glow" but my pores looked amazing and that' quite an accomplishment on my face. |

I think it is the improvement of the tone of your skin and it should take three months to notice if you never used vitamin C before. |

Is that what the "glow" is? I've used Vit C for the past 3 years or more.
I hate to equate price with quality, but I'm wondering if the Vivier C is better quality than PSF or DianaYvonne? |

Personally, I define "glow" as not oily skin but a nice sheen....sorry if this sounds disgusting to you but I would say it is more like after you had amazing sex and you look real good and lively.
Maybe the Mod's may want to delete my post...sorry, but that was the best way for me to describe "glow" |

Excellent definition of GLOW |

LOL...I prefer the amazing sex over a C serum anyday...it won't cost me $100 a bottle!!
But seriously, does it really take 3 months of using Vit C to notice that glow? |

Kareberry,
In my case I notice my skin responding to Vit. C rather quickly. Within the first several day of use I notice a brighter complextion. Actives such as Copper Peptides take my skin much longer to see results.
After my skin gets use to Vit C the glow dies down some. I am confident even though I don't see a continuous GLOW Vit. C has done (and continues doing) wonderful things for my skin.
I have used numerous C Serums over the past 20 years. Next purchase I must try Vivier 20. I have been reading about this line here on EDS for three years. I think it's time. |

Maybe it depends on the conditon of your skin. At my age, I don't have major tone issues but pore issues. Also I am constantly fighting acne. |

At my age it is tone/elasticity. |

I am soooooooo happy that 'The' Winnie is lemming for the same serum as I am ! After trying a sample of the 10%+K serum, the Vivier 20% is definitely on my next order list. I too have same tone and elasticity problem as you do ! |

Hmm...looks like EDS customer service really did recommend my the best product out there. At first I was skeptical of her recommendation thinking she picked the highest priced one, especially since I told her that my skin easily gets dry and I get a lot of redness/bumps when it is. I was afraid the 20% would dry me out severely.
I did order a sample of PSF's 15% C and I'm using it now but I don't think it's really doing anything...Next on the list was Skinceuticals CE&Ferulic. I did not purposely organize it by least to most expensive but it sure does seem that way!
Going to try a sample of Skinceuticals or Skinmedica next, just because it's more accessible, then maybe I'll get Vivier..I hope it won't take 3 years for me to find the Vit C that works (for me) though! |
