I got a ringworm on my arm when I went to Thailand in Nov. I think it was from the humidity. I have never got it before in my life until now. I have been using Lomitrin (I think that's what it's called), and it seems to keep on coming back. Any suggestion for a natural remedy or some oil that will kick the fungus butt? |

Try Wild Oil of Oregano. (Mediterranean) It kills bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic infections. There's lots of info. on the net about it if you want to look it up. Very effective! |

I buy mine at my local health food store. I think they all sell it. Mine is Joy of the Mountains with 75% carvocrol, which is the "active" ingredient. The higher the carvocrol, the more effective it is. Hope it works for you. Good Luck! |

Back in the dark ages we used white iodine 2-3 times a day. |

I checked out Bio-alternatives. They offer one with 85% carvocrol, so I think I will try this one. Thank you so much for your help.

Cherrise, go to the drugstore and ask the pharmacist. If they don't have it on the shelf they should have it behind the counter. It's really cheap. It takes about a week to ten days to work. |

Salli, will I have to keep on using it even after it goes away? I am really afraid to stop using Lotrimin since it seems when I stop, little bumps come back. |

Just keep applying it 2-3 times a day for a week or two. It should go away and stay away after that. If it isn't gone after that you need to see a doctor for something stronger. |

Tea tree oil, though I think oil of oregano is stronger stuff
Tea tree oil says to dilute but I've used it straight for nails everyday.
Get either at health section in large supermarkets, GNC, vitamin shop etc.. |

One of my cats got ringworm from a kitten that unbeknown to us had previously been infected. It took quite awhile to clear but the treatment the vet prescribed was bathing the spots with iodine twice daily. Not sure how this treatment will work on humans but maybe worth a try if all else fails. |
