Iam interested in this product for my hair. I need to know from people who have fine hair if it weighs it down.
I used Aveda Brilliant Pomade and it made my hair shiney but very flat.
Any comments welcomed.
Thanks.

I have very fine hair and it does not weigh my hair down at all. Very nice, recommended if you like using Pomades. Have written a review on it under the Product Reviews section with the other JMO products that I've been using. |

I'm using it and it's doing a great job. I used to used regular styling gel and it always gave me a flaky scalp.
Since using the John Masters hair pomade I have no more flakes. |

My sister uses John Master's Hair Pomade and loves it. She also uses Aveda's too.. she said Aveda's hair pomade is more for a sleek look and John Masters is very good for frizz and doesn't weigh your hair down. Also, my brother likes John Master's Hair Gel more than the Aveda's Hair Gel 'cause it lasts longer, meaning Aveda's hair gel makes his hair (spikes) go flat by the end of the day and John Master's doesn't. HTH! |

I haven't used the pomade but am really enjoying the Bourbon Vanilla & Tangerine Hair Texturizer... You need so little of the product and it does not weigh even fine hair down. I would think it would do something similar to the pomade? |

Wow, I was just going to post this question because I want to make a DIY version of it!
Can someone please describe the texture of the product to me? Does it feel oily in your hands or on the hair? Based on the ingredients, I would think the answer's yes but I need confirmation from someone that actually uses the product so when I make my version, I'll know I'm on the right track....
TIA!! |

Visually, the texturizer has a translucent sheen. Texture-wise, it is thick but smooth and sticky (stretchy sticky, if you know what I mean). The smallest amount spreads far and can be applied to wet or dry hair. |

Thank you all for your answers.
CareKate - over the holidays I saw the 2 friends I sent the Dolce Vitas too - they absolutely love the colour and the texture. They also look very good wearing it.

Carekate - the above is describing the Retexturizer. The pomade is solid and when you swipe your hand across sort of becomes oil so you get a little bit of oily product on your hands to work through your hair if that makes sense. |
