My dermatologist prescribed this 15 days back and it has worked better than anything else I have ever used for my jawline acne. It showed a difference from the FIRST use. It really brings acne to head quickly and reduces the redness after you help it out or let it dry and flake off. It seems to be preventive also. I have gotten it in 6 gm tubes which will probably last me a month but I use it just on my jaw area. It needs to be stored in fridge and expires in two months after opening. It cost me around $14 but I have insurance so I am covered.
For those who dont know, It is a combination of 5% benzoyl peroxide and 1% clindamycin which is a antibiotic. I know, BP is not great for the skin but I am very tired of my acne and want them GONE. Thankfully, It hasnt irritated my skin so far but I added Differin gel two nights ago so am hoping I can get away with not too much irritation...so far so good.I am hoping not to develop any resistance to the formula...fingers crossed! |

| BP & Clindamycin are a great combo to treat acne. The only thing about clindamycin is that your skin can build a resistance to it over time. I used it for years with great success but then it stopped working for me. |

| I wish I would out grow my acne but after 20 years I dont think I ever will. I used clindamycin along with tazorac with sucess for several years. Differin (.1 and .3) didnt work for me at all. Right now I'm trying to find the right combination of products for my acne. |

I am done with my 20 years already...got acne when I was 13..And i will turn 33 soon ...But I have enjoyed some clear periods(my pregnancies )...but otherwise always had those pesky bumps in one form or another.
You know what, I also tried Differin once before, in gel form and it didnt do anything at all....I have just started again in cream form and i am loving it! Its too soon to tell for sure though! |
