As I have stated many times before, I hardly ever wear foundation, but today did so (thanks to a little sample of Miessence from Mabsy).
So I get home and as I was really tired could not be bothered to walk into another room to get my shaggy cloth for cleansing to use with my A'kin cream/balm cleanser... so I decided to use my PSF Green Tea cleanser.
I used a decent amount of cleanser, massaged well, rinsed very well with warm water ... and actually followed up with a second cleanse using Organic Pharmacy Peppermint Facial Wash (just wanted to have a really clean feel, not the moisturized clean feel Green Tea leaves).
Now, I know that the OP cleanser is useless at tits on a bull for make-up removal, but I thought Green Tea cleanser was supposed to be pretty good at it.. imagine then my surprize when I started to wipe my face on my lovely cream bath towel and had foundation come off!!!!! I had to go back and re-cleanse again with my Cellcosmet Gel cleanser to get my face clean completely.
So, feedback please.. is Miessence foundation like damned super glue to remove or is Green Tea Cleanser not much chop for make-up removal (or should I have used a soft cloth to remove rather than just rinse as the instructions say.. though I would have though the second OP cleanse would hvae removed any leftover...).
I have to say I am really surprized as although I have never used the green tea cleanser for make-up removal before today, earlier in the day I used it to clean my eyeliner brush and it took out all traces of Mac fluid gel-thingy liner. |

I think it might be the former - like superglue I have never actually tried it other than at the shops and it struck me that their foundation testers (that I have seen) are a goopy mess. I guess this could be an advantage in humid weather etc....
How did you find the foundation other than stuck to your face? |

I actually quite liked it.. but to be honest I have not worn foundation since then.. so I think tomorrow or saturday I will have a "painted face" day and report back. It will be a good opportunity to test my A'kin cream cleanser and the Cellcosmet CC for their ability to remove it! (I'll do half and half face) |

superglue! and like Mabsy thought, it *is* good for super humid condtitions as long as you don't care if your face breathes or not. on the plus side, no outside pollutants or whatnot will ever be able to penetrate.... not my cup of tea, actually.
BTW, i definitely want you try out the new SKII AirTouch foundation. lightest shade. absobloominlutely gorgeous! |

making mental note to head to SKII counter this Saturday. In March I will be getting lots of gift vouchers through my fav. dept. store's loyalty program.. ....
Yikes, just looked at the website http://www.sk2.com/jp/air/index.html It is just under 10,000 yen for the compact and one sachet of foundation... refills same price for 2 sachets. Is your color the OP1? |

why did i bother to click on a japanese link? yup! OP1. since i know we're damned close, this should work for you. it *is* pricey, but light as a feather and just gives an absolutely flawless finish. (because of the $$$, i only use it for special occassions. since i know you don't wear it daily, getting the compact which comes with one colour capsule should be enough to last for a long while....) i took my guy friend who's just started seriously cross-dressing to the SK-II counter and his fairly rough skin looked just like porcelain after this. better yet, you couldn't tell he was wearing any makeup at all -- now that's impressive!
oh, and while you're there? will you check out their new whitening liquid foundation for me? (something a bit more every day).
enjoy! |
