I was in the staffroom today and was chatting to one of the teachers I don't normally spend much time with.
Anyway, it got onto age for some reason and he was astounded when I said I am 38. He said early 30's at the oldest was the age he'd thought I was.
I was well chuffed.

You are correct.
I am a Pom living in Australia so I come out with some funny sayings.
Whe I told some children last year to stop "mithering me" they looked most confused. |

Now I'm confused and I'm a native. Anyhow, I'm chuffed to read you're chuffed. |

I come from Warwickshire and mithering (said like mythering) is when someone is constantly pestering you.
Whhe I used to say faffing around it used to crack up this one teacher I work with - she had a mug made which said "I'm just faffing around".

Thats great Emma Its nice when you get a compliment like that.
I remember being at the hairdressers a couple of yrs ago with my son and one of the other clients there was shocked when she realised he was my son through the conversation me and the hairdresser were having. She was like " i thought you must be his big sister!" My son was 13 at the time.
But then on my b day last yr, in the same week i got asked for ID at the bottle shop and then asked by someone at work if it was my 40th coming up cant figure that one out
I work with a couple of yorkshire ladies, i love the way they speak and their little sayings |

I'm chuffed when people stop mithering me so that I can faff around!
Great news! So, what are you doing skincare-wise? |

That's always nice to hear isn't it. I love your jargon BTW. Think I'll start using it myself so I can start "mithering" people. LOL |

Thank you everyone.
I'm using Avene Eulage concentrate gel around my eyes and StimucollC.
I'm using PSF BB Serum.
I think that because I lived in England for the first 25 years of my life my face didn't see much sun has helped my skin a lot.
I also have never smoked and use SS daily (I also wear a hat out in the sun because the Australian sun is very fierce). |

Ok, Emma, what's a Pom if you don't mind my asking?! Also, does the word "faff" replace another well-known "f" word, or does it have a different meaning? |

A POM is Prisoner Of Mother England (when the convicts were brought out to Australia).
faffing isn't instead of the other f word - it means you're dithering about.

PSF BB Serum? That's been on my "should try soon list"; it's just been bumped up to "need to get a sample". |
